Well, this is sort of reminiscent of last year for me. When they picked Rielly I had my doubts and reservations, but liked the pick after some research. Time to stop female doging about it and be happy with the Gauthier pick. You need players like him if he can play his style in the NHL.

seems like a safe pick for late first round. big, defensive C. you're not gonna get a 1C at that point in the draft but it adds to the system in a solid way. at least we had a pick and didn't do anything really dumb

I think Lou should demand a trade and ask Mikey how it feels to be tossed under a Greyhound.

Anyone picked outside of the top 10 is a complete coin flip but if that description is accurate there's always room in the NHL for that kind of player. There's pretty much zero chance this kid is going to turn into a first liner but if you can draft someone at the 21st spot who becomes an NHL regular then you've done pretty good.

I could see that happening. There is no way in hell Luongo can continue to play there long term.

The organization brought him to tears on national television. If they were going to go with him all along, they shouldn't have jerked him around for two years.
