I like Pajaarvi's upside. I'm sure if he was given an opportunity he'd do quite well in a teams top 6. I think in Edmonton, he's buried too far down the depth chart. The kid I saw at the world championships at the age of 18 had a lot going for him, a lot of scouts loved his game. I'm sure his name has been circled by a few gms hoping to exploit his lack of offensive production in a package trade, ie. him as a piece in said trade........Warning to my fellow Leaf fans, many of us had to defend Kadri to no end last year.......I could see MPS following a similar path.

Meh, I guess. Phaneuf is such a weird player. He doesnt scream Number one shut down guy, but he doesnt look out of place playing 25 minutes. I don't believe he's a PP QB, but can definitely run #2 PP. He's such a meh Number 1 dman that makes about 1 million too much. I'd take his doucheyness on the oilers for sure, especially if he only signed for 2-3 years while our D prospects develop. Which is what I personally see Tor doing with him..

Rielly is pretty damn solid, and so is Gardiner.

Gardiner- Gunnar is a very very solid top 4 IMO. ( if said prospects develop to their ceiling)

Can I shake your hand? Nice to hear some rational thoughts. However I doubt Rielly is ready for first line minutes in two years time. Its too bad he cant go to the AHL this year, so he will probably return to junior. Depending on how he does next season, and how Gardiner does, Rielly could start the year in the AHL but move to the NHL. He would still probably be only good for 2nd pairing minutes. It would be nice if Gardiner and Phaneuf showed some chemistry together. We should try it out in preseason.

that's completely understandable from an Oilers perspective, its the 3rd and 4th line that need work.

if you are thinking first or second line center, then you should be reading the game sheets, the faceoff numbers will tell you that Sequin isn't playing center often - if at all.

and if you watched any of the finals, or the Rangers series, you would have noticed that Julien had Seguin increasingly on the third line.

so ya... you'd rather have a third line winger - then sure.
