I would accept it, however I think TO would win in that deal and its not the type of trades the Avs usually make.

I like this deal for the Flames. Jones is a great player and O`Brien is a decent enough hard-working Dman with a bit of an edge (stupid sometimes, but an edge nonetheless).

I just don`t like Tanguay. He is a good player, his numbers are there...I just don`t like him.

Flames win this one for me.

David Jones was a healthy scratch over guys like Paluajashfe@E whatever, and played on the 4th line while Cody McLeod played on a line with Stastny more consistently.

Jones hasn't been anything close to what Feaster says in that statement in two years, and SOB was fairly soft last year compared to the year prior, and was a healthy scratch over guys like Zannon and Hunwick.

Most Avs fans believed we would have to buyout David Jones and that he was Un-tradable.

You guys got dumped on hardcore, and O'Brien has two years left on his deal as well.

If I had to bet on it, I say Colorado wins this trade in the long run but it's pretty well a wash. Likely that both players' deals will be dead weight still 2 years from now.

From another Avs Fan, the avs lucked out. Jones has had enough injuries that he isn't the same player he was when he scored 27 goals. He doesn't have the speed and he doesn't get close to the front of the net. Last season he was no where near a top 9 player and he isn't very good in the bottom 6
