I dont think it would be good for Bryz to go to edmonton not because of Bryz but because of Edmonton. he doesnt need another team that lacks defensive support.
Bryz is not half as bad everyone thinks. this will be a bounce back season for him mock my words - dopemor

This makes me so much happier that Nonis already made a deal for Bernier before Flyers bought out Bryz. I would hate to be worried about the rumours of that circus coming to town.
I am not a fan of Bryz and I think there are better goalies, and better people out there.
Having said that, he did great in Phoenix. They say the Phoenix goalie coach is not only a good coach but has some good sports psychology to deal with these nut-cases (show me a goalie that is "normal" I will show you a flying cow). I would not be surprised if Mike Smith suffered if he left Phoenix.... and it is not "only" defensive talent, it is something else...
So, back to the point, maybe Bryz is an idiot, maybe Bryz has many stupid moments but he can stop a puck, maybe he has not been coached or "managed" (in all his craziness) properly by Philly.
For 1 Mill I would give him a shot and put him on a tight leash.

And this is 1 of the reasons you never sign a goalie long term. You never know what to expect, you go from a great year to the following where all the fans want you gone.
Then you have characters like Bryz, you want to keep their terms are short as possible!!!

It is amazing how Milbury is considered an expert when he was easily the worst GM in the past 30 years. And as a player, once should not be remembered most for assaulting a fan with a shoe.
He is an idiot. Could not get a job on CBC. No one respects him there as it was so obvious he was trying to position himself to be the new Grapes.

Exactly, one year, one million, two-way contract (can that be done with people on buy outs?)

Only rule I know is the buyout team cant reacquire that player within the 1 year of the buyout. Which I would bet my life savings he'll never be a Flyer again!!

No one should ever, ever, EVER, take ANY hockey advise from Milbury. After all, he did his own advise from Al Bundy on how to beat someone with a shoe.
Makes me laugh so hard when I hear him talk about goons and that...come on...
I would want Bryzgolav on Edmonton if we get him for like 2 mil
He could back up duby and maybe he's that guy who can push him. Bryzgolav may be a whack job but he has a lot more skill than what Philly made him to be. Bryzgolav went from hero to zero going from PHO to PHI Bobrovsky went from back up to this "terrible" goalie to vezina trophy winner.
I'm not saying Bryzgoalv is top tier or that Edmonton is better than Philly, but I think that Philly is a goalie graveyard and if you see a guy like emery or Mike smith go there this season it will be even more obvious. Also 2 million for a 1B goalie is kind of a bargain. At least it would give Edmonton time to draft/sign/develop a new goalie
Just my thoughts. I think he was given a bad wrap in Philly, maybe he would be just as bad in Edmonton but at the very least he is one of the better backup options available.
