We can't afford his salary this year. All thanks to our idiot gm giving souray a three year, 9 million and no movement contract. - selanne4pres
Sorry for the Ducks they are like my 3rd favorite team after Pittsburgh and Edmonton.
You guys have $8,590,833 in cap space but that doesn't mean much since you have a low budget team. |

Ek, I'm going to risk a ban here but I have to tell you how I really feel. Every time you bring up a Loungo you do so in such a way that seems to hurt Vancouver. At first you drop hints that he had multiple teams looking at him--- no one, in Vancouver at least--- thought that was true. Then you claim that many teams wanted him but we're going to screw the Canucks by waiting for them to buy him out. Agains only serve to hurt Vancouver. I do not believe for a second that you actually have sources in Gillis' s inner circle and perhaps you get thing second hand fom other cities I don't know but for now they're saying that Philadelphia has gotten rid of their goalie will acquire Lou, not by trade, seems to be highly pro Philadelphia an anti Canuck.
Maybe I gave you too much credit thinking that what you write can in turn influence other reporters who will continue to report your story and thus making it sound more feasible. |

Flyers trade for Lou's Negotiating rights before he's bought out? That's all I can think of at any rate. |

How does that get rid of his contract? |

My god you hockey experts are stupid. Vancouver will not pony up 64 million or whatever. Just like Dreger said on TSN vancouver will put him on waivers. That's how philly gets no trade. How did noone think of that |

I don't see any situation where Vanvouver just hands him over for free. If they were that desperate then they would have moved him to Toronto at the trade deadline when there was legit assets on the table. - gdsmack267

I believe Eklund knows a few guys... probably all in some capacity involved with the flyers. That is ALL. The only time he has even been remotely close with his "rumors" involves the flyers.. every other team he is completely off.
I don't even bother reading his blogs any more.. and now the people on this site are worse than ever. Majority of the level headed.. interesting.. and logical posters have all left.. and with good reason. Now we are left with trolling idiots who would rather post memes.. and (frank)ing gifs all day then talk about actual relevant hockey topics.
There is at least a dozen teams in this league that would be in much better shape WITH Lu on their team... Toronto and Philly included... but I will be happy to keep Lu.. and trade CS to a team like the NYI. Lu would actually put Toronto and Philly into a position to be possible contenders in a couple years. And god knows their fans don't deserve that.

Philly is just going to assume his terrible contract, after they have used both compliance buyouts on Bryz & Briere?
Makes sense. (for Philly) |
