To the surprise of no one, the Flyers have bought out Ilya Bryzgalov. From what I've been hearing today, it looks like Philly may have a plan underway to acquire Roberto Luongo -- not by trade.

UPDATE 5:45PM:

Note: Paul Holmgren said today Luongo is not an option now. Some GMs do lie, but Holmgren does not. Homer is very careful as to how and when he answers questions and right now there is a game of chicken going on.

The Flyers don't want to trade for Luongo, but should he, too, be bought out the Flyers will be all over him as an unrestricted free agent. So as he sits now (as is right this moment on June 25), Luongo is not an option but everyone I talk to believes Luongo is entering his final few days as a Canuck. At this point a trade is almost impossible to pull off.

So I stick with my Luongo to Flyers as an (e4) by definition. E4 is a rumor that comes from 2 or more people connected somehow to the situation.
