I'd love to see him in NJ. A big bodied kid who can score is exactly what we need, and with depth at center now we may be able to swing a deal for him. Ideally I'd like to see Gelinas, Matteau, JJ?, and our first for B. Ryan and maybe a 3rd. |

not happening. lou won't even bother picking up the phone. no way he's giving up all those young players for someone who actually is getting paid NHL wages. when lou opens up his wallet George Washington needs sunglasses. |

cant believe all the guys he drafts are busts and can only be 6-7th dman, he is absolutely pathetic and shouldnt be allowed to draft, lou is the downfall of the devils, he has only been lucky a few times |

Maybe just JJ and Matteau along with the first. Similar to the Kovy trade and we know Lou does not approve of any misbehavior.

So, quick question.
In Anaheim, he is a 30-goal scorer getting passes from elite passing center Ryan Getzlaf. Who will be dishing all those sweet feeds to him in NJ? I'm not saying he isn't a premier player or wouldn't do well in NJ. I just don't think he'd produce at the same level as he currently does. |

What would it take to get zajac in a deal involving ryan? If we do trade him we need a proven player (for once) |

He plays primarily on other lines than getzlaf and perry. The three together have little chemistry |

Well Zajac just signed an 8 year extension at the start of the season. I believe it has a NTC and since he just signed the deal I doubt Lou would move him. |

Elias has been one of the better playmakers in recent years. Last year he was 9th in scoring overall dishing to Sykora. Granted he's aging and a winger, but its not like Patty relies on speed anymore. |

Can't see this happening. No way they include Boucher, Gelinas/Urbom/Merrill don't have enough value, and they can't afford to trade the #9 with no 1st rounder next year. If I'm calling Anaheim, it's for Gibson and not Ryan. |

I would love to have him is it realistic no also if we are talking goalies I know people have talked about Bernier but to be honest if there was a guy I wanted I don't know how much he would cost maybe more the Bernier it would be Holtby if they are going with Neuverth they just gave him a big extension then he would be a terrific player to have the caps aren't exactly defensive wonders and he managers to steal games for them and he is 22 |

They extended Holtby for 2 years before Neuvy this year. Neuvy is their back up (he signed the 2 year, 5 mil extension), I do not think it would take much to get him either, but I bet we keep our ancient tandem for next year. |

I think the Isles may go after Ryan this year. Not trolling but imo Devils should start rebuilding pick up some nice prospects and move on. No sense to trade the future for one player. |

Yes, but what I was trying to say is that Washington will not move him (him being Holtby). There's no way they move him, target Neuvy as an interim goalie if the organization goes that direction. |

haha I feel the same but we are also not like Calgary where we have two aging stars we still have kovy and Henrique Larrson lots of solid young pieces Elias is still a 60-70 pt guy in a 82 game season we transitioning some young D in this year so we wont be as slow on the back end we are in a tough spot where you could be right by doing a rebuild or a quick retool we are in a spot where we need to blow it up more like somewhere in the middle |

I like how when you type you can break up separate thoughts with periods or barring that commas they help so that people know where one thought ends and the next begin most people are taught in grade school to do that do you know the proper use of them im not dissing you it just makes your posts harder to read because i have to backtrack to see where each sentence ends just a suggestion thanks |

They are set at goalie, and they have plenty of good forwards moving forward. The Ducks need a 1-2 defenseman. Is NJ giving one up? |
