Lol I'd rather see 24 teams than 32, already enough teams in dumb locations i.e Phoenix, Dallas, Carolina, Tampa, Sunrise, Anaheim et al.. |

They better change the Nordiques jerseys if they bring them back cause those things are ugly as (frank). |

So what, just cause the weather is warm, they can't have an indoor ice hockey rink? If the market there is selling tickets, why not let them have hockey? Chicago is a pretty windy city I hear, I guess that means they should get rid of the Cubs. If it works, let them have hockey! The more the merrier! |

The fleur de lis makes those jerseys look super classy. I think they should change them, but incorporate the fleur into them. What if it was black, with white fleurs on the shoulders, and rose and blue stripes along the bottom and sleeves. I think that'd look pretty nice.

Newsflash: they ARE moving to Brooklyn. Signed, sealed and delivered. End of story. 25 years- in Brooklyn, NY. Done. Here's why: they have one of the top ten most lucrative TV contracts in the game today, and it is etched in stone until 2030.
Read some history about everything that has gone on with the Islanders over the last 25 years, and try to understand why the building is empty; why three weeks of excellent hockey isn't erasing 25 years of savant-level management, laughable county and local governments that are both the most butt-f***ing worthless government entities just short of the Soviet Union, and flat out cr*p hockey.
Prior to the last month, the Islanders have given us 2 things to be proud of since 1984: April and May of 1993, and two weeks against your Leafs in 2002. That's it- that's why the building is empty, and yet it is generally less empty than the Devils' building, despite what the latter "announces" as their attendance. Once they start winning, and move to the big city, the fans will come back, and new fans will emerge to fill the building. In contrast, there are other cities who ONLY got teams BECAUSE other teams could not get a building done in the area- all three of the WHA teams that moved, for example.
This is why Bettman is so adamant about franchises NOT moving now- because it didn't do any of them any good, and the other places they put franchises to "grow" the game have been laughable disasters. These facts have nothing to do with who I , or anyone else, roots for- they are just facts. Hockey is a cold weather sport, and in some places, it's simply going to play second fiddle to the beach, golf, college football, and whatever else. Long Island is NOT one of those places- New Yorkers just know when they're being pi*sed on and told it's raining, and they're not going to spend money on cr*p. Once the Isles are back for good, this won't be an issue. - dcb1
They gonna change their name? The Brooklyn Peninsulars? New York Brooklanders? Crooklyn Spike Lees?

Yup it's total BS. Bettman will just move Phoenix back to Atlanta |

With the Quebec arena (project currently named Quebecor Arena) already under construction since Sept 10 2012, and a Seattle arena proposal being approved last month and will begin construction soon, I believe/predict NHL will expand to 32 teams with two new franchises in Quebec City and Seattle for 2015-16. |

2nd Toronto team wouldn't happen unless MLSE allows it. If MLSE would relent on that, then I don't see there being an issue for Ottawa, but Buffalo might be a little hesitant, but I figure fans of a 2nd Toronto would flock to Buffalo for those games so it might be in their interest to have more guaranteed sellouts.
My guess is expansion. Columbus is a good hockey market, and when the team does well they sellout. Phoenix is the only likely team to move but it's doubtful. With rumours of Quebec wanting a team, and Seattle having an arena for a team I don't see how this is a big problem. 1 West, 1 East. - Viktory
Buffalo sells out every game even with a middling team. There is a 3000+ waiting list for season tickets. Any loss of season ticket holders due to a new Toronto team wouldn't hurt Buffalo. If the Sabres were ever good it probably wouldn't even hurt merchandise sales that much. |

Probably. Although an expansion draft is just what the Sabres need to unload some of these clowns for free. |

good luck to you in the next 10 years. rack up those air miles so that you can see them in a cup final in seattle, markham, or anywhere else other than florida or quebec. |

Nothing else?
Half the team is injured. We have the best prospect pool in the NHL. Add a top pick next year, add a FA RW, and automatically we will be better than Montreal.
Panthers were better than Montreal last year. If Montreal lost 4 of their top 6 forwards for the year and 4 of their top D for the year you would be in the same position.
You obviously don't know anything outside of Montreal, you're a common moron. |

Montreal will be 1 and done just like in 2008. You're team isn't that good. Subban will choke it up just like his brotha Woods did this weekend. |
