I think the magic number for Bozak is 4.5. 18 million over 4 years sounds about right. If it gets to the 5 mark, then it's not doable. Grabovski might be coveted by a team like Columbus, now they have Gaborik. Maybe they could pry away one of those 1st round picks that Columbus has in the draft. Ask for the Columbus pick, that appears to be around 11 and settle for the Rangers pick, closer to 19.

Trying to get some studying done, so I can go to the bar with some of my buddies for a few beers later tonight. Not going too well though. Procrastination is running rampant and HB is not helping

Who is going to replace Grabo..how much and what is he going to do that Grabo can't do?

It's only 40 games into a season that was postponed for 3 or 4 mths.

He's in a little funk and is also being used on a shutdown line with Stone Hands Komarov and another checking centre McClement.

I think Carlyle is doing a great job coaching...he doesn't care what they make..he puts them where he needs them..always has 2 centres out there for most draws..hence Bozak is getting lots of ice...

I say if we can't upgrade at the center position then keep things how they are and spend the money we can on a great defenseman ( if any come available )

This place ladder down the street from my house. Tuesday is the one day of the week this school doesn't party so just going to have a few cold ones and play some trivia then coming home to study some art history (core requirement, otherwise would not be taking)

All in all, quite a thrilling night

The bar is called "Ladder?"

I'm guessing an old firehall they've converted?

hmmmmm, great is a little bit overkill but he has been better the last 15-20 games IMO.
- Garnie

If you don't think Phaneuf is great, you don't know poop about hockey. Our norris trophy winning coach definitely thinks he's been great.

His point totals suggest he's been great, our place in the standings suggests he's been great. Why do you think saying he's been great is an overkill?

would be nice if the leafs could pick up clarkston and horton in the summer
- aziffles

Yes it certainly would. Clarkson for sure, horton not so much. Going to have to over-pay every single FA this year and if we're going to over-pay someone I would rather it be Clarkson... If he does end up testing

Yeah, pretty cool place to hang out. Always have deals going on etc. You win 100$ if you win trivia, 50$ if you come in second or a 25$ gift card if you come third. We came in third 3 weeks ago and it paid for some of our food and drink, so it was nice. Close to winning though, which would've been awesome. They have bruins tickets as a prize tonight so hopefully I know the questions.

I doubt NJ lets go of him this summer, they need to keep their players. Horton can be available

Honestly, Grabo would probably be an awesome centre for Gaborik. Toss Johansen on the left side

Then they're 2nd line would be Anisimov Dubinsky and Atkinson with Foligno and Umberger on the 3rd.

They have the capspace, he'd fit there well on a 4 year contract, he's in his prime and would be able to open up more. I'd settle with the LA pick for him.

I don't want to give up on Grabo, he's a great player but his contract could be a headache, and I'd hate to see us have to settle with buying out his final 3 years in the summer of 2014
