Which has been most of season - Yeti1181
ok 20 was a little long..but the 1st 1/2 ( i'm not going to get out my calendar and count every franking game ) he was sloppy and out of position a lot probably due to being overworked. |

For one thing it would not be a good thing to put Grabovski on Kessel's line with the way Grabo is playing defensively, it would be a disaster in their own end. - LeafMan
Yet historically when they're together they're a +6 (going into this season). Like I said, i didn't post the article, but I often wondered if someone ever did the whole fenwick analysis on the duo, and someone did. |

7th - Feeling Glucky?
OK...top 7! LOL
I was guessing (thought I heard top 2) but still a ton of ice time at over 25min a game |

Was it a joke?
I can't tell anymore. - Feeling Glucky?
Haha, I don't know anymore! Things have become so cloudy now with all the crap that went down. I think right now Stajan fits somewhere in Calgarys lineup but by no means is he the answer.

You seriously think that had the Leafs let Grabo walk instead of signing that deal they would have been screwed.
I'm not even saying had they traded him for a draft pick. Toronto would have had no problem replacing Grabovski in the offseason with a player for way less money. |

I just did some advanced analysis, and I discovered that if I plugged a bunch of arbitrary numbers into a formula, the Leafs should actually be 27th in the league. |

I believe that too, Lou, right now, if Bozak continues playing like he did last night, I don't mess with it. But if we play Boston, switching grabo/bozak might be an option to explore. And as I said, if we lose bozak to fa, I'm not 100% sure we need to move Grabo-----it's up to Carlyle and Nonis of course. |

Quick question, could you trade for and take a risk on someone, like Grabo, with an unfavorable contract, then buy them out if it doesn't work out? |

Not even sure how to respond. You're post just had so much insight.
Grabovski's contract is more of a burden than anything else on this team. |

I know what you're saying, I do, but I'm looking at this year and this year's Grabovski is completely lost out there, you could try but I think it is a disaster if they play together. |

Two centres to re-sign and you have to see what they are going to do with Grabovski, I don't think he is a favourite of Carlyle, this will be interesting but first, a playoff berth. - LeafMan
Buying out Grabovski is not going to happen. They can trade him and get something back for him. The only buyout next season is going to be Komisarek. |

He was the only guy doing anything for us, 5.5, 4.5, 3.5 who cares it's just a #.
If we can fit what we need into 63 mill or whatever the magic # is...who cares who makes what...JUST WIN!!!
Now if we are missing out on signing guys because of his contract that makes it a story..if not..give the guy a break, there is lots of players who dont' seem to be playng to their ability this year on lots of teams...it's a lockout year with an extended break for some..+ new coach + new system +++ He's not going anywhere I don't believe...he just has to get on a roll...hopefully at playoff time he can find his touch again...he's stopped body checking it seems..maybe he's injured or RC just has shut him down and told him to worry about keeping the puck out!!! |

Sorry..I was kidding..not sure about burden??? It's not like we are missing out on players because of his salary?
I think he could be traded if the leafs wanted to trade him...lots of teams looking for a centre with some spark!!! |

I agree Mike, I even posted the buyout numbers a little while ago and said it ain't happening, I don't think Carlyle has plans for him though, only option is to trade and that may be difficult. |

It's just a number eh, I stopped reading your post after that line.
It's a cap world buddy, with 2 centers that are both better becoming free agents the number matters.
What a stupid comment.
