exactly, who knows who it is. The fact that the guy is really badly injured I would have avoided putting it in there but really they probly have no idea. Like someone else said as well, we've all seen the Stevens on Lindros hits at nauseam.

a) I think that sitting 5th in the East qualifies as doing something right.

b) You seem to be confused as to what you want. On one hand, you suggest that Grabovski's salary/production is holding us back from being better. On the other, you seem to suggest that trading him for a first rounder last year would have us in 30th this year.

a) I am not complaining at all about where the Leafs are in the standings. Paying your 3rd line centre $5.5 should get you ATLEAST 5th in the East.
b) Not at all - I'm suggesting it is a waste of cap space to pay your 3rd line centre $5.5 x 5. The part about having us in 30th was in response to a "what did you want us to do - go into the season with Connoly, Bozak, Steckel, etc - as your centres? There's no one else on the roster or in the system..." My suggestion was that if those C were so bad, why not go with it in hopes of landing McKinnon.

I'm amazed at how many people are content to have Grabovski make $5.5 in a hard cap world playing 11 minutes a night. It's ridiculous. Play him commensurate to his paycheque or ship him out. Bozak is the guy on the ice taking draws when the game is on the line anyway.

Yep, use him for the run this year and trade him in the offseason. Maybe get Bozzy signed for 4 or less.
