Bozak is going to make 5 million next year. Just a question of whether he makes it while playing for the leafs or another team.

You can't go into a contract negotiation with Bozak and offer him 3 million dollars a year when you gave grabo a contract for 5.5 and he can't do half the things bozak does.

It pains me to say this cause I am not a Bozak fan at all.

But give Bozak grabo's money and get rid of Grabo. Move Mclement into 3rd and Kadri slides into where Grabo was and look for another 4th line center somewhere else.

Not as bad as a back-up making 5.3 for the balance of the next decade

So, why the multi shot not good? Would it not be better seeing lightning is only a split second and unpredictable? I just thought it would be better than waiting, hoping, and hitting a button 20000 times.

I think the opposite Kadri and Bozak playing on a checking line would cost RC his job.

Grabo could do what Bozak does with his eyes glued shut ( except winning faceoffs ), but why would they break up the 3 amigos. RC I'm thinking is hoping with Grabo checking he could hopefully put up some points too...but I doubt he is expected especially playing against the likes of Crosby/Stamkos etc etc that's only my opinion from watching every game for the last 4 years. ( some more drunken than others )

Grabo can not play with Kessel. Give your head shake

He can win faceoffs!!! Put him on the checking line and we lose lots of games - Get Grabo back going on a good line and he puts up more points guaranteed...Yes you can offer him less than Grabo..what does Steckel make? Bozak = Steckel with a mullet!!!!

ok put McClement or Kadri with Kessel and put Grabo back where he scored all his points 2nd line ( actually it was our best line )

Shake your head...Grabo is not going to get bought out...maybe they trade him...maybe!!!!!

Bozak is a faceoff specialist..frankn guy can't even score on an empty net!!!

We can be friends and disagree or I can go (frank) myself!!!

Totally different style of play that produced no playoff hockey.

I hope your joking thinking mullet 3rd line centre guy getting to play with Phil The Thrill and JVR is better than Grabo?

I say keep all 4 center that we have unless of course we are having cap issues well then I guess we throw away Grabo and go with Colborne

I see your guys point as I like our centers some what...but everybody throwing Grabo under the bus for a bad 1/2 season after he carried us for a year or so with crappier linemates than Bozak...

I think you're seeing the Grabovski on a playoff team. Run and gun worked for him.

Believe me the plus/minus thing doesn't escape me. I'd rather a big scoring winger who can cycle the puck.

I'm seeing Grabo on a team that has 2 defensive centres and 2 guys that have never been in their own end.

I'm not saying anymore. The leafs are going good and that's all I care about. If we are not going to upgrade on Grabo and just slot somebody in I would rather keep him and get him going on the 3rd line ( injuries happen too ) and obviously if we are having cap issues and need to slot that money somewhere else..then trade or buy or whatever the team thinks will help. I'm done...getting ready for the Sens games/Habs game cheers..have a good night!!!!

Leafs should make it into the post season and most likely take a first round exit which means anywhere from 18-24 as far as our drafting position.
With that pick I'd like to see one of these guys drafted:

Jacob DLR
-Big left wing power-forward. Plays big, hits and has a nose for the net. At 6'2 and close to 195lbs he has a lot of time to fill out at 17.

Kerby Rychel
-Another big leftwinger/center at 6'1/200lbs. He can finish plays and lay the body. Considered a versatile forward.

Curtis Lazar
-With elite speed and a scoring touch he has top six center written all over him. Won't back away from physical play and already has the size to compete in the NHL at 6ft/190lbs.

Anthony Mantha
-WHAT A BEAST! At 6'3 and close to 205lbs one could only imagine how big he'll be when he fills out. Nonetheless, he uses his size and hits like a wrecking ball. He has a finishing touch but could also be a great bottom six grinder. This kid is a beaut'.

Bo Horvat
-This guy is looking like Jay McClement more and more everyday. Plays center and has the 'Swiss army knife' skill set with offensive upside. At 6ft/200lbs it's a wonder what kind of player this kid will develop into. Hard not to draft this guy if he's available.

Adam Erne
-My personal favorite. Tough as nails, hard to knock off the puck and a good skater. At 6'1/205lbs with a great two way game, this guy could be a 2nd/3rd line winger at worst.

Ryan Hartman
-With a great work ethic and an offensive touch it's hard to evaluate what kind of player Hartman will develop into. At 5'11/185lbs he still needs to fill out but he's gritty, big bodied and full of heart. The second coming of Grabovski?

Frederik Gauthier
-Hello Joe Thornton 2.0! 6'5/220lbs at the age of 17 is wowing. Knows how to use his size and has shown flashes of brilliance offensively. This center has a lot of people saying first line potential.

Zach Fucale
-While Reimer plays for the Leafs now and Sparks has shown great improvement at such a young age it's hard to say yes to another goalie in the system. Well, Fucale helps sway the vote. ISS says this about Fucale "Athletically gifted. Moves rapidly, yet controlled laterally. Remarkably calm & focused.", at 6ft/180lbs he could be the next Ryan Miller, who knows? Hard to pass on Fucale if he's available.

If Zadorov is available I'd make a case for him too. I know we have a lot of defensemen but this guy LOVES to annihilate opposing players. Plays a shut-down defensive role of which RC would fall in love with.

I am not a fan of long contracts. Injuries happen. Specially with tenders. Just me.

Kessel is starting to grow on me...especially playing under RC - he's back checking and hard...he knows RC will send him to the press box or have him traded to Columbus.

There is no dilemma if he sucks in the play-offs he's expendable if he excels and the Leafs push to a second round look for him to be resigned otherwise there are going to be a couple of buyouts looming Grabovski and his whipped play need to go somewhere else he sucks and at best is a 3rd line center at 2 mill per. Vancouver on the other had is going to be stuck with huge contracts only 2 of which they can buy out and many more that pushing them to the cap ceiling look for the Nucks to have a fire sale and look for rich teams to buy those pieces.
