I would love for Gabby to get a Hat Trick tonight that way his trade value goes up. I love Gabby but I think we have an opportunity to move him and get much needed value in return. Just my 2cents. - adwolf130
I just don't want him to leave I'm just not ready haha
Boyle, Richards, Del Z, Halpern, Asham... I don't mind trading, to be honest...
Who doesn't want Boyle? A proven 20 goal scorer... |

I think the way Sather trades we could use him to get something even better back... 'tis a gamble because I know that Del Z has the potential to get better but I get the feeling the Rangers are a 'must win now' kinda team... |

The Rangers are already thin on defense. Del Zotto only makes $2.5 million a year, so given their lack of cap space, you can't use him in a trade to go out and get a $6-7 million player. You need to stay in the same ballpark salary wise, and also make sure you fill the hole on defense if you were going to trade him. So, given those factors, what type of Del Zotto deal makes sense? I don't see any Del Zotto deal making much sense to be frank.
Edit: Also, did you guys see that Fowler signed a multi-year extension at $4 million per? Del Zotto has to be wondering why he signed for $2.5 million. And, I am sure that McDonagh will think he is worth a whole hell of alot more than Fowler. |

I dont know why MDZ isn't looked at as being a building block of the defense along with the other 3. |

He is 22 years old. He finished 12th in the Norris Trophy voting last year. How many defensement under 23 years old can you name for me that are better defensemen right now? I think it would be a stretch to name more than 10, maybe even 5. |

Not making a comparison here, but I wonder how many Rangers fans were eager to trade Brian Leetch in those early years? He was a big chip in the ill fated Lindros 92 trade, right? |

Honestly I never ever ever ever ever heard a rumor involving Brian Leetch being traded back in those days.
The only rumor I ever heard was Keenan being pissed and threatening to trade him for Chelios. |

I don't want to do that.
I'm just saying, on a PERSONAL level. I don't care too much for him. That's all. |

The Avs won Cups because of that trade, and probably would have won Cups if they made the Rangers deal to.

who knows what would have become of the Rangers had that trade happened.
Lindros in his prime was as dominant a player as I have ever seen, with Messier at elite level and Leetch and Richter.
May have been something, but my lord it would have changed everything |

Leetch won the Conn Smyth & Keenan benched him in one of the most important playoff games of 94, shows how looney Iron Mike was. Like u said before Jimmy, this thread would have gone nuclear in those days if it was around. |

Kreider with some really nice things to say about Kris Newbury. Newbury seems like a good guy to have in the organization, even if he never really does much at the NHL level. |

But the Avs would have never gotten Roy if they were still in Quebec. Life is funny like that, its fun to always play the what if game. |

I have actually seen people tweet that Torts plays too many head games with players, doesn't help their confidence blah blah blah, and seen them suggest replacing him with Keenan.
And then I wonder where I can get some of the stuff they are smoking. |
