I think your not getting enough of a return in just Boyle and clowe. - climbdenali12
Perhaps take out the draft pick which may be too much. Gaborik for Boyle is even and then Clowe for Thomas/Skjei is about fair value I think. |

Not trying to nitpick, seriously. But I defintely want the Rangers to keep Skjei. And if the Rangers can sign Sustr then maybe you can sub Skjei with Mcilrath. |

it's his first pro year in the AHL. I think they'll give him whole year there and he'll get a shot to make team in training camp.
This is not exactly a guy who has the making of someone who develops very quickly.
He is what you call a project |

I'd agree they need to keep the more offensive dman in Skjei over McIlrath if it came to that. Sustr's raw but he's got a nice wristshot and skates fairly well. |

Jimbo.... FWIW
Italy is real nice. Florence is laid back but very historic. Rome is like NYC but with a very ancient feel. Venice is a city to let yourself get lost in. Be careful not to actually get lost tho but definitely explore off the beaten path.

Never been to Venice. But just went to Florence and Rome and Florence was AWESOME. Statue of David is crazy impressive in person and you don't realize it from just the photos. |

A little steep. Gaborik, Thomas and a 3rd (conditional 2nd) round pick. If we get this 7ft defenseman from Nebraska, than McIlrath might become expendable. |

Buff and Evander Kane.
For both of them... Id give up Gaborik, Skjei, Thomas and a 2nd or 3rd. Might even throw in McIlrath as a substitute.
However, I find it hard to believe that Gaborik waives his NTC to go to WPG... and that WPG will make a deal like that while leading the SE division. |

If Winnipeg made that trade with that rabid city that has been starved for hockey and have a chance to compete for a Stanley Cup, then they are going to have to relocate again b/c they will burn that building down.. |

Trades will prob have to be a collaborate process between Clark, Schoenfeld and Messier... then a call to Sather made for approval. |

At ESPN Insider Craig Custance wrote about how teams are now able to absorb parts of contracts in trades and the impact it may have on this year’s trade deadline.
Custance says that the new rule has only been used once, when Toronto traded Matthew Lombardi back to Phoenix, but in speaking with Rangers assistant GM Jeff Gorton, it has been a topic of conversation during trade talks.
Gorton said that the ability to absorb salary is “valuable” and the Rangers are in the process of feeling out how the process works. He adds, “If there’s a money concern on one team and the other team has the ability to keep it, it’s significant. As we move forward it’s going to play a big role in player deals.”
There has been speculation that teams may have asked the Rangers to absorb part of Marian Gaborik’s salary in a potential trade. |
