He needs to use his speed better. The guy is lightning fast, and you hardly ever notice it. You notice Hagelin everytime he's on the ice, even when he is not playing particurly well, because he skates his ass off. - Pete V

I thought Kreider was better on the forecheck tonight, but still no shots. If he is going to be in the lineup, he has to get his shot off. - TPC
He was and he got ice time but that third line is not producing, no matter who is on it. |

They created enough 1 shot chances to win this game, this is just a team stuck in neutral, I have faith in seeing playoff hockey, let alone getting past game 4 |

It's a group failure, there is no urgency, I'm more on angle that Torts indicted himself last week when he said we don't coach offense, the top teams in his league don't depend on grinding out games because they have the players to play more open, we have those players and Torts system sucks, we have no breakout, no set plays, and no PP, changing the coach is really the only option besides trading Gaborik, bringing in a 36 year old defenseman to be he 10th PP solution in 5 years, they need a MAJOR shakeup. - cranford93
Please don't take offense, but I usually think you over react to this teams ups and downs. However, I agree with you 100% on this post. I think this team may be in need of a coaching change. I think this team can be successful with (most of) the current lineup, but under a different system. I still think Gaborik can be that 30-40 goal scorer, so I wouldn't be so quick to trade him. The only problem is, none of us have any say in what goes on with this team. Either way, it's clear something needs to change. |

To put a cherry on this Nash is getting suspended, that was a dumb play |
|
|
|
Nice cherry on top if Nash actually gets suspended for the hit on Kopecky. |

Wait, Torts actually thought it was a good start? - TPC
Yeah, he said it wasn't a great start, but it wasn't that bad. Keenan said it was a horrible start, 10 minutes into the game they had 1 hit, and they're down 1-0. Keenan telling it like it is. |

If you are going to make a suspendable hit, run around like a madman, talk trash, and get he crowd fired up. Don't check to see whether the guy is o.k.! Jeez, they can't even play dirty hockey the right way. |

Left his feet and principal point of contact was back of the head plus Kopecky didn't put himself in a vulnerable position nor was Nash already committed to the check, Shanny is already salvating over this, if he doesn't get a game ill be shocked, so Holtby should get the shutout on Sunday |

This team needs some kind of change, what that will be, is anyone's guess. I think personally besides the scoring issue, they need to get tougher. I look at teams like Anaheim and just picture the Rangers getting run over. One in house option obviously is McIlrath, who is suppose to be nasty and hit and drop the gloves. I haven't heard much about him recently. Is he a possible call up? Or still too far away? |

Kronwall got away with a similar hit last night against Minnesota. Maybe the Rangers catch a break. Lord knows they need one. |

No problem, Vin. No need to apologize to me. And I thought your prior post about this team's problems was pretty dead-on. No disrespect to Dan Boyle, but he would be just the latest in a long line of supposed PP saviors. Seems to me that the team has enough offensive talent to be able to get it done on the PP without yet another PP centered transaction. |

Cancer isn't good. It puts a game like in perspective that it really doesn't mean squat |
