As much as we want to kill Gaborik, he was their best player tonight, he tried to make a difference.

Fair enough, so should we all direct our venom at Richards?

I am ready over here.

Still to many easy saves.....to many perimeter shots

That was the cup year, Terry Yake with the hat trick.

That loss might have been comparable but the two Rangers teams are night and day.

- MidnightMarauder

like i said I wasn't trying to draw a parallel...#11 used that loss to grab the team by the balls....not long after that they went on like a 14 game unbeaten streak...thats not happening here...

#11 should be the next coach (if he's interested which he probably isn't )

Year after year, we bring in offensive players and we expect to be able to be better offensively. And, year after year we are disappointed in that aspect of the game. In the past there was always the fact that the Rangers played balls to the wall to make up for the lack of offense, but now that is missing as well. So, we're left with a frustrating, underachieving offensive team, and the lunchpale crew that we used to like isn't around either.

I would just really like to see whether someone else can get something out of all this alleged offensive talent, even if that is unfair.

I Thought Hagelin, Nash, Richards, MDZ, Girardi, and Stepan were horrible tonight.

It's a group failure, there is no urgency, I'm more on angle that Torts indicted himself last week when he said we don't coach offense, the top teams in his league don't depend on grinding out games because they have the players to play more open, we have those players and Torts system sucks, we have no breakout, no set plays, and no PP, changing the coach is really the only option besides trading Gaborik, bringing in a 36 year old defenseman to be he 10th PP solution in 5 years, they need a MAJOR shakeup.

He is too smart. If they lose 2 games in a row the HB posters will want him fired..

I am absolutely convinced all of these big tickets they bring in here simply can't handle the pressure of playing in NY.

Too much evidence to convince me otherwise.

Richards has been horrible 90% of the season.

But you are right, all of the above were not sharp at all.

YA know I don't see much of a difference from this team to the teams of Sather's early tenure, Gomez, Drury, Redden now Richards compared to Lindros, Kamensky, Bure, Holik, Fluery, Kovalev's 2nd go around, all have one thing in common, they came here and failed, all got paid and didn't get it done, when's it gonnna end?

I thought Kreider was better on the forecheck tonight, but still no shots. If he is going to be in the lineup, he has to get his shot off.

You just keep waiting for this team to take off but it's 1 step forward, 2 steps back. I thought Gaborik played well tonight, no one else really stands out and against a team like the Panthers with the situation they put themselves in so far this year, that just shouldn't be.

He needs to use his speed better. The guy is lightning fast, and you hardly ever notice it. You notice Hagelin everytime he's on the ice, even when he is not playing particurly well, because he skates his ass off.

No my dad and the "1940" chants from Isles and Penguins road games made me aware that this team was the Red Sox of the NHL.
