Tonight’s first period marks the first time in seven games that the Penguins and Capitals have gone scoreless through one since Feb. 21, 2011 at Consol (1-0 L).
Pittsburgh hosts the Washington Capitals in the third meeting between the two teams this season. The Penguins have won both contests thus far having outscored the Capitals 11-5.
