You would think Jeffery would be drawing some kind of interest on the market. Everyone is not stacked at center like we are. |

I'm a bit puzzled by Jeffrey taking line rushes with Neal and Bennett. I've seen a lot of good things with Sutter. Not sure why this is. I know Neal hasn't been as productive with Malkin out but what's the deal? Sutter and Jeffrey/Bennett have put together quite a few chances. I'd rather see Jeffrey centering the 3rd line right now. |

For whatever reason(s) -- recovery from knee injury, untimely giveaways, etc. -- Jeffrey hasn't gotten much ice (until Malkin's injury) to prove himself. A change of scenery would give him fresh opportunity, might help him out. |

I agree, but it might be more of an effort to try to get that third line playing consistently well, as the have been the last couple games. I'd bet if Malkin was a more long term thing or if team was struggling, Sutter would be moved up. |

Maybe that's why he's centering the second line tonight? It's possible that he's being looked at as a potential 2nd line center by another GM. |

Sorry to be a downer, but Jeffery is too slow and too soft. |

Yeah, did you see his nifty pass to Jeffrey down low? The guy has some handles to go with a nice wrist shot. Good luck to Staal in Carolina for sure but I'm ridiculously happy with what Sutter has provided. If Dumoulin or Pouliot can develop into solid pros then that'll be the cherry on top. |

I agree. With Geno out, I believe Sutter should be on the 2nd line with Neal and Bennett and Jeffrey should center the 3rd line. However, I guess Bylsma wants to develop the 3rd line chemistry and thats why he's doing it. I can't think of any other reason for why he would do it |

Sutter always played with skilled players in Carolina and excelled in that role. Having him in between Neal and Bennett gives that group more of a chance to be productive.

From Bleacher report..
All eyes will be on Calgary RW Jarome Iginla with speculation building he's going to be dealt. The asking price set by Flames GM Jay Feaster will likely be: A No. 1 pick, a prospect and a roster player...The Penguins, Predators, Sharks, Red Wings and Bruins will make a pitch for Iginla. Word is Pittsburgh captain Sidney Crosby wouldn't mind if Iginla was on his wing.

they give Pouliot a "C" for probability of success. that doesn't sound good for our best prospect. - Killian
Don't be discouraged by that. They did the same for a ton of others, including Yakupov, Tarasenko, Hamilton, Galchenyuk, Grigorenko, Reinhart and more. |

It looked like he was on the 4th line during their rushes. should give the caps a boost. Maybe not tonight but going forward. |

Why not try switching Neal and Dupes. Let Sid get Neal going and Dupes can help the 3rd line roll. |

Kunitz-Crosby-Dupuis is the best scoring line in hockey right now and they think Malkin will be back Friday or the next game. Any questions?
If this was a long term injury I'd be all for your idea though. Dupuis is unselfish too. He wouldn't make a fuss over it. |
