Hearing that the Flames are very interested in Matt Read, thats kind of intersting. Maybe for a Jbo deal.

That and a willingness to dump the puck and get it deep when there isn't a pass to be had. Its as if someone finally just switched on the "situational awareness" switch on this team.

We've been a much better team after that Boston Bruins 3-2 game...we learned something for sure. I wanna see what we could do against Chicago and the organized play of Anaheim.

Yeah, I don't know about you guys, but I miss playing the western conference. I know that "In conference only" was necessary for the 48 game schedule this year, but I always enjoy seeing the western teams come in and miss getting to see them this year.

Dupuis is your grinder....Iggy makes that line insane.
- The-O-G

The line is insane now. No sense ruining chemistry. Shore up our TRUE needs and we should be ready to roll.

I have always been a fan of Guillaume Latendresse, he would be a good pick up if the Sens fall out of it.
- nbartley9

He's played 37 games in three years. Not sure how he would be a good pickup if he can't stay on the ice to contribute.

So Cooke is a game time decision? He's missed 2 straight gameday skates with whatever ailment he's suffering. If he doesn't play the Pens will go with 7 D. I'm not complaining, but is the forward corps at WBS so weak that we have no one down there to call up to fill in if we retroactively placed Malkin on the DL?

Sill for the 4th line is good enough. For the top 2 lines is where you'll find the biggest problem.
Phillipe Dupuis, Warren Peters and Chad Kolarik have some NHL experience.

I'd sign Malkin before Letang. But I don't even think this will be an issue. Martin (or a similar player) will be moved before that.

Trevor Smith 63gp. 18g 23a. 41p.

Riley Holzapfel 63gp. 17g. 22a. 39p.

Paul Thompson 45gp. 15g. 9a. 24p.

Brian Gibbons 57gp. 7g 16a. 23p.

Well....the only forwards available for the top 9 are these guys...not even Jayson Megna makes the cut.

WBS +/- :

Phillip Samuelsson +10
Joey Mormina +8
Cody Wild +2
Alex Grant -1
Dylan Reese -2
Joe Morrow -4
Brian Dumoulin -12

Could Phillip Samuelsson make the jump to the NHL like a Eaton/Scuderi type?

Is Letang playing today? Also, if Cooke can't play, I'd like to see Vitale center the 3rd line with TK and Jefferey on the wing. I think Vitale is very under rated and he should be the one getting more minutes

I heard he doesn't. He seems to be more skilled and with less grit/sand paper to his game, unfortunately.

Vitale doesn't have the hands nor the ability to create for others and that is why he will never be a regular 3rd line center in the league.

Letang is out. So is Geno.
Vitale should be a staple on the 4th line. And he only gets paid $0.550 for next year too.

No Letang. If Cooke is out, the current game plan is to dress 7 defensemen.

This just in: Teemu Selanne is awesome.

He was asked about Getzlaf and Perry getting 8 year contracts and said "If they can play 8 more years, I certainly can. I'm in better shape than them anyway"

I love that guy. Teemu Forever!
