I didnt mean it to be directed at you personally, but I see enough comments about the "line juggling" and I wonder how many people have actually coached a forward group and actively made the choices on line changes and combinations. - Gunner Staal
Most of it is perfectly fine. Especially for PK/PP and other special cases. It's some of the random stuff that can happen repeatedly after guys don't fit so well that is hard to watch. |

which brings us back to why in the hell is Shero interested in bringing in Iginla? No reason to split up that line, and he's not going to play on our 3rd line. We need a grinder or an impact D man!!! - Killian
Dupuis is your grinder....Iggy makes that line insane. |

You said it. The defense will be tested. They are going to have to keep the crease clean for Fleury. The Caps do score greasy goals.
As JT mentioned, the Caps are 9-1-1 at CEC in their last 11 games there. The boys will need to mind their Ps and Qs. |

I'm beginning to think you're Jay Feaster.
We like Iginla. That's no secret. Want and need are different things. No question he could be someone that would help this team---but they're are other guys in the league who could too.

No it doesn't make sense. Breaking up the BEST LINE IN THE NHL makes asbolutely no sense. Tell me how that makes sense? That ruins the team dynamic. Dupuis has about double the goals Iginla has right now and is straight feeling it. No way Shero gives up a 1st rounder, prospect, and a current roster player to bring in a guy that takes us a step back instead of moving us forward. |

Everyday the Iginla talk dies down a little bit, its not happening. Barring an injury Iginla is not the way to go. |

In a weird way I think some of the Flame fans that are selling Iginla to the Penguins hard just wanti to see a family member (Iginla) land on his feet and in a good situation. Pittsburgh fits the bill in that regard.
This causes the perception of Penguins' need vs want to be clouded from an outsider perspective. |

I'm not going to be pissed if we bring in Iginla. Afterall, Ray Shero is a NHL GM and I'm just a passionate fan so obviously he knows better than me. He's built one hell of a franchise and has built a Stanley Cup team just 4 years ago so I will trust whatever decision he makes. However, I really don't think Iginla is the missing piece. Rob Scuderi is the missing piece...Ladislav Smid is the missing piece...Brendan Morrow is the missing piece...not Iginla. |

One of the biggest differences I've notice in our game is the players, instead of running north/south with the puck, as we usually did, are entering the zone and turning their back to the defenseman, looking for a pass. That has made a lot of difference in the puck moving and possession. Love it how we find open players by making little adjustments. Anyone noticed that? |

That's pretty fair.
Most reasonable fans want to see a good guy in the league get an opportunity at his ring. It's just a situation that has taken too long.
Calgary might get something but they'll need a time machine for the return they're rumored to want. |

Not even a time machine, the fact he is a UFA is the problem. |

Yes. Definitely. The neutral zone play has been good too. They aren't forcing as many stretch passes either. They're using all their outlets from one end to the next. Very responsible. |

Its the biggest difference between Sid and OV, OV comes over the line and looks to finish, Sid looks to see who is in a better place to score. |

That and a willingness to dump the puck and get it deep when there isn't a pass to be had. Its as if someone finally just switched on the "situational awareness" switch on this team. |

We need to keep it up. Once we keep possession of the puck, it just makes the game so much more fun to watch. Having Crosby and Geno helps a lot.

thats been so noticeable and awesome. not every pass is either an unnecessary drop pass to no one or a homerun seeking missile that ultimately doesnt connect. its amazing what a difference it makes |
