From Bleacher report..
All eyes will be on Calgary RW Jarome Iginla with speculation building he's going to be dealt. The asking price set by Flames GM Jay Feaster will likely be: A No. 1 pick, a prospect and a roster player...The Penguins, Predators, Sharks, Red Wings and Bruins will make a pitch for Iginla. Word is Pittsburgh captain Sidney Crosby wouldn't mind if Iginla was on his wing. - Orpik44

Kunitz-Crosby-Dupuis is the best scoring line in hockey right now and they think Malkin will be back Friday or the next game. Any questions?
If this was a long term injury I'd be all for your idea though. Dupuis is unselfish too. He wouldn't make a fuss over it. - HopintheCordoba
Neal not rolling does the team, no good. |

which brings us back to why in the hell is Shero interested in bringing in Iginla? No reason to split up that line, and he's not going to play on our 3rd line. We need a grinder or an impact D man!!! |

Sorry to be a downer, but Jeffery is too slow and too soft. - IronCity
He knows how to play hockey though. He is always in the right position,(Neal play last week) the guy just plays the right way. I can see him getting moved this trade deadline. |

Have they lost recently or something?
I see what you're saying but Malkin will be back and the PP and 2nd line will be better for it. Neal just seems to play a better game being a sniper rather than being more of the traditional power forward. It shows. No need to switch up the lines any more than Bylsma does. |

Getting Iginla would send the wrong message to the team, being demoted for success; that would be a huge mistake. |

Is that from 2010? - HopintheCordoba
It must be. Pointless for Nashville to acquire him.

Not either. Just saying, if they are rolling just fine and they are tough to play against, coupled with Malkin coming back very soon there's no need to mix things up. You do that when things aren't going well, not during a win streak. |

I have always been a fan of Guillaume Latendresse, he would be a good pick up if the Sens fall out of it. |

Losing Cooke is a biggie for tonight, our 3rd line is our second best one currently... Neal Bennett and Jeffrey are ineffective against bigger lines. Neal without Malkin on even strength really is a neutered player... I think he floats too much |

I would tinker with Neal on Sid's line at any time.. Why wait till things aren't going well to get one of your key guys off the snide? |

Why not try switching Neal and Dupes. Let Sid get Neal going and Dupes can help the 3rd line roll. - bixll
Because Duper is freaking awesome!
Malkin will be back soon enough and Geno will cure Neal's woes.
What you can't do right now is break up Duper, Kuni and Sid and possibly mess with their chemistry right now. The line is dominant.
Neal will be fine. |

I give up. We both know Bylsma will do his standard line shake ups anyway. |

I have to admit, Mike Lange's sayings would be a lot funnier if he was on our team...

Buy Sam a drink and get his dog one too...Let's-undress

Get in the fast lane grandma, the bingo game is ready to roll...Let's-undress

He does a pretty nice job of utilizing his forwards, especially after special teams situations. Its not realistic to think that lines will stay the same the entire game. Certain players kill penalties, certain players play PP, some don't do either. Special teams throws a wrench into how you use your forwards.
I jumble my lines all the time after special teams depending on my players energy levels. |

Oh no, it's not necessarily a negative thing. In fact, over the past few weeks it's worked out fine. Offensively there's a ton of chances from odd lines. The defense is what they weren't really focusing on. The penalty killing has gotten a bit better too.
If they play like this they can play Orpik at LW again. Just kidding... |
