Wow. Maybe they'll try and package him for Getzlaf and Perry. They really need that 1--2 punch for the playoffs.
Seriously though, what a shame. I thought he was one of the good pieces on that team. - HopintheCordoba
Grabo with Malkin would be killer! They both have skill, speed and can score. |

The Leafs used 10 shooters in Saturday's shootout--- he was not one of them...yeah i would say the coach does not like him... I think he is a good, albeit overpaid player.
How about putting Iginla on the third line when Shero trades for him-- he has enough grit and would add to the scoring depth--- I will now dodge everyone's assualts - Tiogadog
If he came extremely cheap, why not? Sutter and Cooke can do well with almost anyone.

Tangradi is getting less ice time in Winnipeg than Pitt. Partly the product of a team taxing their better players to try to actually make the playoffs. They should move him again to Phoenix or Nashville. He hasnt shown much, but he needs to play at this level to see if he can make it. - Deadstar
I mean, how much more of a chance does he need? He's got to play with one of the top centers in the world and that didn't work. He got an elevated role when he first went to Winnipeg and didn't succeed there. He was ok as a 4th liner here, but that seems to be his celing.
Sometimes guys like Tangradi or Zach Boychuk run out of chances to to play at this level. No shame in being a good AHL player, those guys make more per year than just about any of us. 99% of us who have every played hockey would have loved to get to that level. |

I think Morrow would be a cheaper fix to that third line. I love the idea of Kennedy on the fourth. He'd add speed and has scored big goals before. He'd create chances and be able to fill in on the third occasionally. |

I just think the acquisition cost would make that scenario impossible.
But honestly with how this team is rolling that would make sense. Imagine your top 6 injury fill in being Jarome Iginla? lol. |

Moving Duper to the 3rd line sends the wrong message to the team. - nbartley9
This is a fact. A guy like Duper, producing and playing for peanuts should not get bounced to the 3rd line. The chemistry that has developed on the first line is years in the making.

Not a 5 million a season for Grabo and I think Grabo is as Malkin a natural center |

so ur telling me if they get iggy or ryan or whoever else a top 6 player is you want to move kuni?
let me guess you want to move dupes down to the 2nd line and move bennett to the 3rd where his talents will never flourish and he will be a jeffrey 2.0 version..
dupes would help the 3rd line out more then bennett would - nh4442
You do not demote someone that is having the success that Duper is having this year. It sends the message to the team that hard work and success mean nothing no only nothing you get demoted.
This is the exact reason we will not be getting Iginla or Ryan. |

Added to the fact, that Crosby seems to really like playing with Dupuis, and Dupuis is LOVED in that locker room. Demoting him while he is playing the best hockey in his career could really f the chemistry up. |

instead you hinder our one and only winger prospect by putting him on the 3rd line or even 4th line like they did with jeffrey
i really hope shero gets a top 6 winger and shows you how wrong you are... hindering bennetts ability is far worse then hurting dupes feelings by putting him on the 3rd line, where it would be more balanced offense and he would help the 3rd lineproduce more plus his defensive abailities would make that 3rd line stronger....
edit: putting dupes on 3rd line is demoting him... when he is a 2-3rd liner playing on the 1st line... if a top 6 winger comes in he is odd man out... |

No Bennett stays where he is, he has proven that he belongs there. This team will not get a top 6 winger, that is not what this team needs. Rob Rossi blogs to get hits, its not going to happen. |

I'm not advocating doing it, but putting Bennett on the third line will do nothing to hinder him as a prospect. |

yes it will, and we have seen it... with tangradi, jeffrey, johnson (sorry walshy), letestu, etc... if you have a guy playing top 6 in ahl, you need to put him on top 6 in nhl and get the playing time and get the confidence... if he can not handle it then u send him back down or trade him... there have multiple reports on this...
and yes i am saying if tangradi or jeffrey would have been slotted next to sid when they first got called up they would have been better than what they are today... |

Don't worry. Bennett will stay in a top 6 role. He won't be lowered or sent down because there probably will be no top 6 player dealt for. We don't need that. |

No, Rob Rossi is stating that Shero is looking. 2 completely different things. Rossi is a moron. |
