That penalty kill and resulting goal was one of the best live moments I've seen at a game... Absolutely electric building!

Even before the Penguins scored, their partisan crowd roared. Bylsma and Martin said it was the loudest they'd heard the three-year-old building this season.

"They were more excited for the PK than for my goal, I think," Niskanen said with a chuckle. "That's OK though."

The Penguins' metamorphosis during the midst their winning streak is striking. They scored at least four goals during each of the first five victories -- but have not scored more than three in a game since.

Defensively, they averaged more than four goals against per game in the first four wins of the streak -- but only 1.00 per contest in the six that have followed.

"We're finding different ways to win," Niskanen said. "Hockey is pretty darn fun right now."

Sounds like you planned that trip well.

The more I watch the Penguins play, the less i feel like they need to make any moves come trade deadline time.

At this point all I want is to replace Kennedy with a bigger, tough player like Fehr to upgrade the Pens size. Even Glass didn't annoy me so much this game as he at least got in on the forecheck few times and took the Dman into the boards hard.

I don't think that Fehr is the answer. There is just something about him.

I do agree that a more physical presence on the third line is needed. Same with on the bottom pairing.

In reference to the article that Canadian posted.

It perfectly describes why I honestly believe that Crosby doesn't need the elite talent around him. He just needs players.

I mean look at the projected numbers. 49 goals for Kunitz. How many players in the last 5 years have scored 49 goals? 38 for Dupuis, Iginla had 32 last season.

Maybe this is the workings of my crazy mind, but I almost think that a high end winger might hurt Crosby's game. They might not be willing to give him the puck at the times that Kunitz and Guerin mention in that article or they might attempt to do more with it and take away chances that Crosby creates just because he is at such a high level.

Kunitz and Dupuis might not be the dream wingers from Crosby, but I honestly think that they are the best wingers for him.

Fehr doesn't do it for me either. He seems to be slow for the kind of game we're playing. It's just me. We have other options out there but won't mention any. Realisticaly, I'd like to see Kennedy on this lineup regardless (3rd or 4th).

Damn, even Glass played well on the PK tonight!

We just need a couple hard working bodies for depth and we are set to war.

Not sure how to respond. I mean, we are all aware of the bounces but I doubt that had anything to do with the streaks. 3rd times the charm? At this point I'm just enjoying the game by game play they are displaying. That's all we can do and should do.

Let's hear it for Captain Bringdown

3 consecutive seasons with 10 game win streaks, pretty impressive.

Mea culpa... I was very critical of this team and their defensive zone coverage in the early going. Therefore, I must give credit to their recent performance. The attention to detail has been nothing short of amazing.

Pretty sure it was the Isles that exposed them last year and started the downward spiral. Hopefully, there in not a repeat this year.

Not sure any moves are needed right now other than depth at forward.

He goes on by saying shero isnt swayed by their winning that he is still looking for top6 n top 4... to me that is smart but I am with u guys were he might want to add in some bottom grit...

Also tonight is gm meeting...wonder if there will be some action

I never said I liked Fehr, just didn't complain when you were throwing the names of your favorite buddies around I remember saying I thought Hendricks was a loser and that I'd rather have N.Thompson for the 4th line. Maybe that was a strech

I also said I'd love Iginla on this team I'll stand by my choice for now.

isnt clowe hurt? one thing we dont need is more injury proned players

and i doubt Ott wil be moved, he is on a roll and moved up to first line... apparently dupes has 3rd line guys thinking they can play 1st line now

Injury prone is a strong word ...the guy played 82, 75, 76 games the last 3 seasons.

If Ott is on Buffalo's 1st line that team is screwed up!Forget about him. You'd have to part with a small fortune to pry him away from Buf.

I'm with you... This team looks more and more complete every game. Adding a little depth won't hurt, but we're getting Malkin back this weekend.

Yeah Clowe definitely shouldn't be considered injury prone. He has been battling a shoulder injury for the past several weeks though. I'm a bit leery of him for that. Wouldn't be upset if he ended up here but if they passed because of the shoulder I would understand.

Well, I guess a change of scenery didn't help all that much:

Mike Colligan ‏@MikeColligan 1h
Friend who covers the Jets said Tangradi "has looked like a guy acquired for a 7th rd pk. Lays the odd hit, otherwise not noticeable at all"

He is what he is...

You know this team is rolling when you are giving Glass credit and I have given TK credit in the last couple of days lol.

Even the whipping boys are playing well.

Eventually this will pass and he'll be back to his old self. Plays 5 bad games, 1 alright and 1 he's noticed on the PK.
