I'd have to say, a lot of their success was due to Quick. Obviously the Leafs would have to give up more in a trade, picks and prospects, but I think it could benefit both teams, it's not like we'd be giving the Kings complete garbage back. - ThePresident
Quick was great for sure - hence the Conn Smythe. But, the LA defensive game was impressive to say the least. Quick made the big plays when he had to but the D forced so many weak / long shots that it did make his job easier. In the opening series against Van, the Canucks had very few quality scoring chances. The LA team D and forechecking was stellar. The Canucks couldn't set up the cycle, had very few odd man chances. Players like Doughty, Greene and Mitchell were either blocking shots or shutting down any offensive progress. LA waited for chances and capitalized when they had the opportunities. I'd say Quick was their best player, yes, but the whole team just physically and defensively dominated everyone. |

Its a very strategic play by EK.......being wrong so often makes people talk more and "question" his insider knowlege, thus generating more talk and ultimately more hits........im sure he would rather have 2k people on his site bashing him than 200 on here praising him.
Now lets cue the Perry to Toronto Rumors........ - billyberg10
Very true...or something like that. This site is incorrect 98% of the time and the other 2% is when the news has been reported elsewhere already, but really, that does not matter because we all visit the site for the comments, not eklund. Eklund, however, is a genius by making a living off of this scam--legally. Truly genius. |

I am sure someone has already pointed this out here but the #1 reason that I will not buy a season ticket to your site is because of the rumour that you just posted about Getzlaf. He was NEVER on the block. You post this rumour and then he is signed to a massive long-term deal to in order to keep him as a Duck. This just shows that this rumour was YOUR rumour and was unfounded. |
