losing your two captains and then your best defenseman the next season will do that to you.

i was pretty sad about dumont being booted over kotalik. :-(

dumont + gilmour for grosek is one of my favorite trades darcy has ever made.

For all the good that Darcy has done, that two year span of terrible decisions really ruined this franchise for almost a decade.

2/5/13 when they blow the sabres out of the wate 9-1 which leads to the epic rebuild of the sabres and a Stanley Cup in 2014

remember when we did that to the flyers? And they did rebuild...

Bench clearing brawl

Hate to nitpick, but when has there ever been a bench clearing brawl between Buffalo and Ottawa?

from everything i've seen and heard radio/print/etc it sounds like he wasn't entirely at fault.

briere said they had something finalized on wgr and they didn't really and management got pissed and told him to pound sand.

drury, i can't remember but it was either he didn't want to sign there or there was an issue where they had a handshake agreement and something happened and it was never printed and signed.

either way, yes, those horrible decision, along with not keeping campbell seems to have screwed us for literally a decade at least.

The wonderful business idea/motto of not negotiating with players during the season. Worked about as well as the Blackhawks idea/motto of not televising their games for all those years.

No need to apologize. I just know I am getting old and couldn't remember. I was hoping for a link if there was one.

In desperate need of secondary scoring the Sabres...go back to the old lines that couldn't score. Good plan.

That 2nd line reminds me of post-lockout
Hecht-Briere-Pominville
Too bad Hecht is no longer that same guy,
And Ennis is certainly not Briere...
Although he is kind of "Briere-like"

I really like how that 3rd line looks

Ballsy to split up our top line though

Not as long as his 5 hole is still as soft as it has been his last 2 appearances.

Enroth has sucked big balls since his first few wins he had last year, hence the 0-10-2 record. Might as well chalk up another loss for the sabres tonight since we are starting our craptastic midgit backup goalie and have a 2nd 3rd and 4th line that can't score at all. It is not as if miller is much better anyways with his 3-5 goals per game average. I wonder if gerbe them man with a huge heart and very little scoring ability or stafford the man with little heart and good scoring ablity will ever put one in the net and actually earn there pay checks. Foligno also needs better conditioning since this whole season he has not had the speed of last year and has floated around the ice doing a whole lot of nothing. And why in the hell did we resign im washed up and i am not jochen around hecht for. I would rather see a rookie or 2nd year player get some ice time who has more upside. If it was not for #26 the sabres would be winless this year true story.

Losing peca did nothing what did he do for his other team not much. Not having a real #1 center who has size and can score cost us a cup. Oh wait no ruff who no matter what does the same poop game after game year after year, and turns scoring young talent into non scoring young talent with his defensive minded game plans that simply dont work with the players we have cost us the cup.

is sucking big balls the same level as suck as sucking little balls?

wow good one asshat. That sure was some exceptional contribution to the conversation.

I'm sorry that the truth hurts homer but maybe someday you and half of the fan base will see the light. The kool aid year after year sure does taste good doesn't it ?
