I dont think he meant it literally dead last in size, but hes dead on by the suggestion they are close to being last.

The fact they have Gallagher and Gionta greatly reduces the average height of the team. LOL.
That being said, both players don't play small. |

If Mike Brown misses and significant time I hope the Leafs bring up Ryan Hamilton and play him a regular shift to see what they have - and this is not taking into consideration his AHL ASG hat trick. This guy needs a longer look and can provide some size, net presence and has decent hands. He was good last year when he was up and from all accounts performed well in camp. |

Mike Augello: Prudent To Deal Phil? Leafs vs Sabres - mikeinbuffalo
Augello, quit being a Cox sucker (Damian that is - he just wrote a similar article).
Would this even be a topic if Kessel had scored 2 -3 goals by now?
No.
You only trade Kessel if you are going to tank and do a full rebuild (trading away most of our roster players).
I'm not a fan of paying him 7-8 million...but I sure he could be had for 6.8. |

I also would like to see this, he seems to provide good on ice leadership for the Marlies, which the Leafs need more of on a consistent basis. I believe his skating has always been his biggest short coming, but he is a mature responsible player in the AHL that I think could provide some extra depth on the 3rd/2nd line. |

You would bring up Connolly before you brought up Hamilton, me thinks. - faceto27
i am of the opinion that connolly has played his last game of a leaf, he is not in the teams plans moving forward |

I'm guessing that salaries are going to be a little lower going forward - at least for the next couple of years.
Smaller cap is going to force guys to have slightly lower salary expectations.
It's a theory, anyways. |

doubt he makes it through waivers tho..
how does that work now? is it still the 50/50 split for cap hit and salary? - Dozzer
nope reentry waivers are done, team claiming him assumes full salary |

Thats your opinion. Common sense would suggest otherwise. Unless you're saying the 6 games this season holds greater relevance than his past few seasons of scoring 30 plus goals, and finishing 6th in points last season.
Which is your right to hold that opinion, but its worth less than a crushed corn pop. |

I got the feeling that 99% of the reason Connolly was sent down was his attitude.
So at least in theory, if he changed his attitude, he would be considered to be brought back up.
I don't follow the Marlies, though, so someone else will have to weigh in on whether or not the guy is putting forth any effort. |

Neither Hamilton or Connolly are part of the teams future plans.
That said, they would only be up to fill in for injuries, so it really doesnt matter what the plans are for those two beyond this season.
If we're going on plans moving forward, Colborne should get the call. |

As far as I know, the entire re-entry waiver procedure is gone - so if you bring him back up, another team can't claim him. |

If they get a new team and anyone I know jumps ship from being a leafs fan .... Friendship over and respect lost - The_Vark
People can cheer for 2 teams. The Leafs during the regular season and the Markham team once the playoffs roll around. |
