U wouldn't do that trade?? - Fruitcakenipple
For two-three years of 'okay' play from Marleau and Thornton plus Luongo's wonderful contract? I'd rather keep Colborne, Ashton, McKegg and Biggs. At least until they've developed.

Big contract, he's a bust.......... they should trade him for picks/prospects. Start the rebuild. |

If the Leafs really want to fix what's wrong with Phaneuf, get him a guy who can actually qb a PP. There's not as big of a difference between Weber and Phaneuf then people think, both need an actual general on the ice to play with. That's my opinion anyways. |

if 2 of those 4 play more than 500 games in NHL I'll be very impressed.
Marleau and Thornton seem to be playing "OK" at the moment |

This isn't even worth discussion.. You tried to make a point and failed miserably. You're entitled to your opinion, and i'm entitled to let you know its ridiculous. |

Well if you're going to try and insult someone, you should make sure you're spelling is correct. Kinda helps when you're trying to making a point.

Might as well trade him. The media and half the fan base have already ran him out of town. There's no way he resigns in Toronto, why would he? Could someone here please explain to me why we can't be satisfied with a player unless he's the full package? Here's the reality, there are very few players in the league who score, hit, play strong defense, and are considered a strong leader to boot. Kessel isn't Crosby or Malkin but he also doesn't get paid like Crosby or Malkin. Why can't we just be satisfied with a 35-40 goal pure sniper? Nonis basically has to trade him now, he won't get anywhere near fair value, and we'll be set back farther than we already are. When are we going to learn to stop doing this to our talented players? |

Agreed.
I'd like to see more movement on the PP, I don't think that a single Leafs Dman has come down low on the PP to create an odd man advantage...... a lot of goals come off the Dman streaking in all alone and the down low guy feeding the puck to him. We haven't seen that this year. |

We have lost our identity. We want to blow up the team because there's not hope. We have no hope because the players have no faith. No faith in the team from within, no identity from without.

Kostka does and Kessel kept feeding him nice passes but he couldn't find the back of the net. Wait til next year, that's Rielly's specialty |
