Only way this doesn't happen is if Weber wants out of Nashville which would hurt his trade value
- mmold

Well. I'm just talking in general. If it's really "The biggest trade since Gretzky" then you it's going to be Hall for.. whomever. It can't really be anyone else.

Yup. You don't get guys like Weber for scraps. (No offense)

Non taken. We're all familiar with Clouts delusions.

Ok enough with the hacking on Hemmer.

He's still an amazingly gifted player and you watch him be a point a game guy again with Yaks on the ice to shoot the puck.

It'll look like Hull and Oats all over again!!

This trade would still never happen in a million years though.

I remember a week ago when this guy was suggesting they should trade Yakupov for Del Zotto or Subban, Now he doesn't think that Yakupov would need to be added to a deal for Weber. What an idiot.

I wonder how many Oiler Fans will laugh in your face about this deal, sure you will have your 3 minions that believe everything you say is gospel.

I'd love to see you try and spin that one. Oh the contract, the signing bonus, what an impetus for a team, we should be able to get the best d man in the league for next to nothing.

A point per game guy, that puts up 25 points every year.

an injury will do that. impossible to judge until he gets over to NA

True, and a good reason as to why Rielly fell to 3rd Dman in his own draft (injuries)

A guy who can't post anything without calling someone idiot or retard is the last person who should be calling people out on their intelligence.

Well, maybe more like 47 points, but point taken.

Tough to tout Hemsky's former point totals at this point in his career. The best you can say is that with the stacked oilers he stands a chance to get back the 50-point range if healthy and fed PP time. Two or Three big IFs there, but the skills are still there.

Which three minions are you referring to? I think I've actually seen a higher percentage of Preds fans receptive to Clouts' proposal than Oilers fans.

And there's one of his underlings now. Go pray to your statue of Clout's buddy. The guy obviously has so much wisdom, not to mention his obvious contacts.

Ya cause nobody in this league has ever come back from injurys to play 82 games. I was finishing my point more than responding to his.

I never said that anyone said it would be a great deal. I said receptive, as in, did not call Cloutier an idiot, call the trade impossible, mock the players/prospects involved:

While I would hate to see this happen (GoPreds!), I will say this would immediately put the Oilers in the running for Conference Chaps! The Oilers have been scary good for a few games here and there over the past two season. Give them a solid D and the continued progression of their stars and they will be very hard to beat.

I know Weber's bonuses are a tough Pill to swallow, but Poile would not have signed him if he didn't truly believe he could keep Weber. That much, I guarantee.

- scifiman

In any case, I doubt you'd find that many oilers fans would actually defend the proposal

SHOW ME ONE OILERS FAN WHO LIKED THE GRETZKY TRADE! When due to not being able to afford an asset sometimes, likely always, you get the crap end of the stick. Sorry about your luck Nashville. But I agree with you this is not nearly enough for Shea Webber.

Expect a blog about how this blog was a test to gauge our ability to believe bullpoop and we all failed.

I made one post and it was completely disagreeing with Clouts. You step in and called me a retard. I called you out on it and you continue to act like a child.

Your username "Mystery" makes more sense every post you make.

Under the Old CBA, if you match a contract offer you aren't allowed to trade him till after the 1st year.

Unless that has changed, that throws a wrench into this
