Really? I'm not worried about protecting Luongo from high scoring teams, that's what we've been doing with Schneider these last few years until like the second half of last year. Luongo has always been the workhorse goalie and started the tough games. His trade value won't fluctuate on a game by game basis, GM's aren't like us fans.

You would think it would be the other way. I do know why though . Garrison has the big shot from the left. Sounds like he will be the trigger man.

They've probably tried them both at practice and figure that Edler can adjust better since he has more skill. On the PP I definitely expect Garrison to line up on his off-side to fire those one timers like Salo used to. Garrison did play the right side at Florida and I recall that Edler played a bit on the right side in his first season.

Exactly, but it could change if he goes on a shutout streak. He if wants out make him play for it.

Luongo has been protected at every opportunity. He never plays in Minnesota because he's got a bad record there???? AV has always made sure Luongo didn't get "let down games", they always put Schneider in for these games.

I wouldn't say every opportuity, but he has been protected from minny. Funny thing is, his 2 starts aginst minny last year were both shutouts.
