No he doesn't think anything that people type that doesn't have a favorite team or location is worth a poop.

Yes. But I feel for this guy, maybe "Pierre Lebrun" wasn't available as a favorite team and he's been petitioning EK to add it ever since 08'.
He could always list "I cup Pierre Lebrun's nuts, Qc" for a location though. |

Why would Garth want to play a video of Ott talking smack with Giroux about faceoffs, then showing him lose that faceoff to Giroux... followed by Laviolette pushing buy our new tough guy in his suit like Ott wasn't even there? That video should be all over the Flyers' boards, not the Sabres.
My line predictions now that Hecht is back:
Vanek - Hodgson - Ott
Foligno - Ennis - Stafford
Leino - Hecht - Pominville
Gerbe - McCormick/Ellis - Kaleta
Scott in the Press Box waiting for Boston
Taking Pominville off the CoHo/Vanek line and replacing him with Ott does a number of things...
#1 - Adds muscle and D-zone awareness to top line (similar to Brad May role)
#2 - Adds a Left Hand Shot (otherwise, Vanek/CoHo/Pommer all righty) balance
#3 - Provides opportunity to maximize return on Ott
#4 - Allows Vanek and Hodgson to stay in scoring position while Ott gets dirty in corners
#5 - Reuniting Pominville with Hecht (and Leino) gives the Sabres some relevance on a 3rd line in terms of productivity. Best years under Ruff/Regier the Sabres ran out 3 productive lines
#6 - Less likely that Leino sulks so much if Captain is playing alongside him. Leino feels he's a top line player and appears to become very frustrated when playing alongside typical 3rd and 4th line checkers.
#7 - Obviously, Pominville and Hecht have history and chemistry (productivity?) |

Lindy has said he wasnt going to split up Vanek and Pommer. The only way I would split them up is if we add a guy like Bobby Ryan until then its not going to happen and I wouldnt play Ott with Vanek this isnt the 90's where grinders played with scoreres (see Barnaby with Audette)
Also moving Pommer down from the first to the 3rd line is crazy, no matter how much people bag on him he is still the most consistent scorer points wise this team has |

Very well said.. I like the lines.. i like your points as well...
two problems persist though.. Gerbe and McCormick are not healthy right now and are unknown as far as if they will be ready for the season opener. |

not saying you in particular and not even on this post but he does take a lot of heat on this site i mean after all he isnt Grigorenko (right Garth). I would like to see Leino and Hecht together maybe in Grigs centering them but I think Grigs would be better suited between Vanek and Pommer. Who knows Lindy has a history of shuffling lines more than changing his underwear (allegedly). I don't think we are in as bad of shape as some people think we are. Staying healthy is key which again is why I like the Hecht signing |

I dont think Hecht back means Pommer moves off the first line....it shouldnt anyway.
Vanek Hodgson Pommer
Stafford Ennis Foligno
Ott Hecht Leino
Scott Ellis Kaleta
This is until Cody and Gerbe are good to go, then who knows. |

Yea i mean putting grig between vanek an pomm would be ideal but there would be alot more pressure on him. If he is on the 3rd line there would be less heat on him from opposing d-men |

I went to the practice at the Northtown center earlier.
My impressions .
Pardy is a big boy and very aggressive. Liked what I saw of Pardy.
John Scott told me after practice and a photo (the guy is a beast) told me he intends on taking cae of business with Milan as quickly as possible.
Jhonas looked sharp. Sharper than Ryan.
Drew and Ennis looked smooth.
Ott got knocked down one time, didnt like it but got up and laughed about it after.
Patty looked good. Make fun of me if you want but Kaleta looked really good out there today.
Weber also skated very well today.
If you have any questions. Feel free to ask. |

I like Kaleta's game a lot. Perfect if he stays on the 4th line and PK |

unless Pardy really does something in camp or D men get hurt/traded pencil him in in Roch.
Lucic isnt going to fight Scott....I doubt anyway. |

I hear a Homer.
I liked Pardy's game though. Guy is very aggressive on the puck and the check. Pissed some teammates off out there today I'd bet. Bigger than I thought too.
I'm just telling you what John told during me our picture. Said he intends on dealing with Milan quickly and he said that with a smile |

If anyone gets in someone's face for a second or says a few key terms to them.... i'm pretty sure that Lucic being one of tthe biggest hot heads in the game will try to puff his chest up a little with Scott. |
