I just dont see him putting us over the top or anything. A unnecessary signing when we are most likely brining in Hecht to just alleviate some injurys we have in the bottom 6 right now. We are not a cup contender this year unless Miller plays lights out and brings back his vezina winning year. Arnott wont having anything to do with it.

I never said I want Arnott. I only stated he would make our top 9. Also, Teams were scared to sign guys before the lockout because they did not know what the new CBA would look like. My bet is that Arnott will sign somewhere soon after the CBA goes into effect.

I think that Leino's pay in relation to where he plays shouldn't matter this year. Hopefully they are going to put him where he can do the least amount of damage and then dump him after the season.

Or... he lives up to that contract and puts up amazing numbers. Highly doubt that.

Screw paychecks. I want the best guys getting the most playing time. IMO Hecht is better than Leino so I would start on the third line. Were hopefully going to buy Leino out at the end of the year anyways.

I would be very happy. Im a sabres fan. I also have been a patient Sabres fan. I dont want this coach, GM tandem any longer. IMO I think it's laughable that they have been here for 15 yrs. I find Lindy Ruff to be stale and not able to change his system since we lost Campbell, Drury and Breiere and we have been mediocre since.. He has IMO ruined alot of prospects development. He likes to think we have a high power offense yet wont move on from guys like Matt Ellis who cant score. It's just frustrating.

I would imagine that Ott will take faceofffs but then switch ice spots with a better passer. Whether that be Hecht or Leino.. IDK.

I would take Hecht all day over Leino.

I like it because it stops teams in teh future from just tanking horribly for 4 years, drafting top 3 every time and building a dynasty (penguins, hawks, soon to be oilers). It doesnt reward teams for being the worst.
