I heard on TSN Radio that the 19th is for a 48 game season. If they go 50 the season could start as soon as the 14th or 15th.

Sorry, in a "Hockey Market" where fans are knowledgeable about such things, they understand that when a GM (Thats a "General Manager") calls a press conference, it is usually important.
