so... pretty versatile, good defensively, can still put the puck in the net.
It`s not like Peca was a tough guy. Pretty solid defensively, and great for checking line duties. - prock
he was an outstanding open ice hitter AND was plenty gritty for a smaller guy. |

i heard he wanted 5.5-6 mil per season.
but yes in retrospect to look back now, kessel or cam + picks...
thats when it hurts, nobody knew we were giving up Seguin or Hall though...im sure burke figured he would end up in the middle of the pack. - big_dion

Ok Leafman.
Pretty serious today. Sorry for trying to throw a curve in the Luongo topic.
How about Kadri and Franson for Luongo and a 2nd?

Really?
I've never phoned Andy Frost on After the Horn to say that I'm a longtime listener, first time caller, and that I love the show. I have a comment and a question, and then I'm going to hang up and listen.
My comment is that Bozak was awesome tonight defensively - will probably win the Selke this year.
My question is, "How many 1st rounders do you think we can get for Komi at the deadline?"
I'm going to hang up and listen now. |

Yes, he’s perfectly decent defensively. Selke candidate? No, I never said that. But I’ll tell you this much, he’s the one carrying the load defensively on that line. While they’ve improved a little in that respect, it sure as hell isn’t Lupul or Kessel. |

That's not very enticing from a Canooks perspective.

You know what? Some of these jacka$$ Canucks fans (and others) may have made fun of the “would have taken Rielly first overall” comment, but you know what? I’d say it makes it HIGHLY unlikely Burke even dreams of giving him up in a trade, unless it’s for something absolutely top notch (so, not Luongo).
And I'm okay with leaving it up to them.... With that in mind, keep your trade suggestions to yourself. Thanks. Bye. |

...see, now this is where I get pissy.
keep seguin, hamilton and knight and sign cammelleri.....OR.... have Kessel? - Barx
Cammelleri is overpaid and not good at all. Knight will not play in the NHL.
So really just Seguin and Hamilton, and Burke has Gardiner, Reilly, Finn, Percy, and Kessel to make up for it.
One trade does not make a franchise, but many smart moves do.
Too much is maid of the Kessel trade, but has Seguin out produced Kessel? NO!
Kessel is as of this moment the best player in that trade. |
