sure as hell worked for florida

when he was in his actual prime

- Dozzer

He is 31, according to empirical evidence - oh, and two consecutive President's Trophies - he is still in his prime.

thoughts on the Luongo trade.

Personally, I think it's time for Kadri to make the jump to the NHL. In doing so, I believe this makes MacArthur expendable. Why?

Burke has constantly stated that Kadri is a top six forward and will only join the NHL as one. If this is true, we know this much... It won't be on the first line, so the top line will remain the same.

Lupul - Bozak - Kessel

This means that Kadri will be on the second line. With JVR and Grabo guaranteed spots on that line, that means that Kadri will need to take MacArthurs spot.

Second, Franson has worn out his welcome. So he's added in.

This means MacArthur and Franson are part of the deal. I don't think this will be enough for Vancouver, so they'll ask for one prospect. Debate will continue around who it should be, but personally I think it will end up as a grinder like D'Amigo.

Franson
D'Amigo

Frattin, Finn and Percy should not be given up for a vet goalie, all we will be doing is repeating the past failures, haven't we learned the lesson by now?
- LeafMan

Ya I would keep those 3 for sure for now.
However, I would offer up colborne...not sure if Vancity would take him though.

Seems like the Leafs have worn out their welcome with Franson if anything?

Still to be seen if they pan out but I would like to give them a chance. Frattin and Biggs are the closest we have to a PF, I would like to keep and develop these guys.

Well I'm not the first to speculate that the relationship has soured.

Didn't he sign a 1 year deal in Europe anyways?

let him play in europe til he is UFA.. if he is so cocky and self deserving about ice time that he is willing to throw his nhl career away let him

Hbo should do a 24/7 series on the lockout negotiations.

Love to see inside these meetings and what these guys are saying in 'private'

I still think there would be plenty of teams interested in him, I mean look at some of the recent UFA signings over the past couple of seasons.
