Can someone explain why the owners are against revenue sharing? The way I see it:
- the cap spending teams send money to the cap floor teams.
- The floor teams use that money on salaries and the total revenue spent on salaries rises.
- As salaries inevitably surpass the 50%, 57%, w/e, escrow kicks in and the teams sending money to the floor teams get it back from their own players.

How is this bad?
Players - More teams are viable options to sign with = increased competition
Owners - No change in total expenses.

why would owners want to increase the amount of money in play for free agents? and where are the guarantees that the shared revenue will go to salaries? teams that are losing money will use revenue sharing dollars to cover losses. and i would doubt that escrow covers the increase in shared revenue.

im not saying rev sharing shouldnt be increased, but i see why some owners are against it.

Three Maple Leafs fans were bemoaning the fact that their team kept losing and might miss the playoffs.
"I blame the manager" said the first, "if he would sign new players then we could have a great team".
"I blame the players" said the second, "if they made more effort I am sure we would score more goals".
"I blame my parents", added the third, " if I'd been born in another city I'd be supporting a decent team!"

I suspect about 2/3rds of the owners would like more money for UFAs.
Write it into the revenue sharing requirements, most if not all revenue sharing money is to be spent on salaries
probably not the exact amount but it would be a signiifcant chunk considering escrow in the past has reached 10% (I think) which would be $7M on a 70M cap. I can't see revenue sharing being that much more than that.

I suspect the top 5 revenue generating teams are not too exited at making their incompetent competitors stronger.

A beard is a choice, an amazing one, yet the ladies really don't seem to like it...or it's my face

Try some manscaping for heavens sake
