i didn't watch any of the games but i'm just gonna rattle off stats ...well i watch the games and...poulin had two bad periods in 9 games..thats why his numbers are a bit bloated..with nilsson healthy he'll be able to not play as much and he'll be fine |

I have zero concerns..........he's a beast. I watched him too, and I dont have a problem with his skating. - kindlyrick
from the last board on anders lee...
fine we are capable of disagreeing...i don't see what you see in bailey..at least not consistantly. i just at this point lee's skating is good enough to be an effective top 6 forward |

When their offense gets going down low, they're a handful for just about every defense they've come up against. I like Nino and Nelson on the same line. They create a lot of space for each other.

This is the kinda post i like.........disagreeing but doing it the right way.
As for Bailey......his hands are incredible. He was never meant to be a goal scorer. He's a set up guy........which is why I say put him with Tavares and Moulson and watch him flourish.
As for Anders Lee, he's EVERYTHING Okoposo should be. A power forward who drives hard to the net. |

exactly we can disagree and not scream at each other..and actually it makes for good debate considering there is NOTHING to talk about. for the record I would love to be wrong about Lee and I do like him..i'm just concerned. When it comes to Bailey and and Okposo..we need consistency from both of them. I do believe they have the skill set. With the kids getting better below the NHL level if for example Okposo gets pushed to a third line player and puts up 22 goals and 45-50 points for the next 5-7 years we'd be pretty happy. |

Confidence is everything with a young player. How do you think Bailey felt being a top line kid in the OHL, and then getting drafted in the first round, only to be playing with bottom six players? I've said before that Bailey has NEVER been given the respect of playing with the organizations top talent.

your right..however at some point the owness goes on the player as well..bailey has to make them..force them to give him top 6 minutes by playing consistently and be active in all assets of the game. Nino told me last weekend "if their is a season i'm going to make them keep me up" thats what i like to hear.. |

I hear what you're saying but again, Bailey has NEVER been given that shot. Okposo has.......Frans plays line 2. Baileys not a bottom 6 forward........yet he's playing with bottom 6 guys. Perhaps thats the problem??? For a kid who is the best passer on the team (not named Tavares) why is Bailey not on PP1? |

Yep, big bodies and besides that, nearly everyone on Bridgeport plays the simple yet effective style of taking shots from everywhere and crashing the net for rebounds. Not sure if that's Pellerin's doing or just the style these kids play, but it's nice to watch something other than perimeter hockey. |

Gotta be the coach..........crashing the net is the right way to play. Thats what happens when you have N American style hockey.....you win games. |

Doesn't that make him Sean Bergenheim? And wasn't Bergy shipped out of here, because he was a first rounder that ended up on the third line? Why would KO be ok in that role & not Bergy?

No scoring 10 goals a year and taking bad penalties will turn him into Bergenheim Plus Bergy avg about 10 goals a season for the Isles big difference then 20 plus. Just saying... |

Not to mention Bergenheim should NEVER have been drafted in the first round. Typical Milbury over GMing....

Nokelainen, Bergenheim, and Nilson......all first rounders, and all busts.

This may be crazy but before the Isles building mess was fixed I could care less about the lockout. Now I want to see hockey now. Enough of this lockout already. |

I wanted to see it before the building news. Becoming used to not having it though. A bit disgruntled and aggravated at this point with these idiots. |

No question. Both sides are idiots and I hate that guys like Larry Brook just takes the players side. It does not help when you have some owners fighting revenue sharing. They should want the league to be as healthy as possible. Players should understand the 50/50 is more than fair. |

Not a good sign if the poster child of the league is publicly chirping the owners. Crosby didnt seem too happy about the owners lack of bargaining...
