I remember a supposed deal bein in place. He then said he wanted to be here long term. Maybe im wrong.
Either way, he was very suspect before last year. Even with that, alot of oiler fans are goin to far with how good he is. He came along way and im happy with him on the 2nd pair. but imo, hes gotta do that and more for a couple seasons to get paid

That was a Jim Matheson make up story that got shot down and actually laughed at by the Preds.

It's great that oilers are signing there young stars long term, as a canucks fan I want the division to be tougher some say we benifit from a weak division, but I think it's the exact opposite.
To those so called experts that still think Tambellinni was sitting on his butt this year I ask you, Well has he done enough after drafting Yaks, signing Schultz, resigning Hordi, Smyth, Gags, Petry, Dubs, Danis and most importantly Hall and Ebs.
also throw in hiring a new coach and it's still August. Pretty busy summer it looks like to me.
I love these kids taking the haircut to leave some money on the table to build a winner...They now set the bar for the other great kids coming of for a new contract...thats what true leaders do,take a discount for the sake of the team...the first 2 years its market value but the last 4 will be all profit as in cup wins...
look at all the haters get all pissed cause these kids signed for less money and long term...total opposite of the famous theory"they will run as soon as their entry deals are up"

Younger and debatably better. But they got the same cap hit. - Jack-artist
Also, now they will come up as FA's in different years so there should be no stress in trying to get too many contracts done at once. Next year sign Nuge to a 7 year 42 mil and the next the same for Yak (if he pans out how he should) and we are golden.

yeah, hall is around the 7 mil mark salary? didnt know about the cap hit.
just from an outside fan looking in. i would take eberle over taylor hall pretty quick. i havent seen much from him yet to suggest he's going to be as big of a deal as everyone would suggest.
