The Islanders have extended one-year qualifying offers to
defensemen Calvin de Haan, Adam Pelech, forward Connor Jones and goaltender Christopher Gibson on Monday.

The team retains negotiating rights with the players, most notably de Haan, who the team would like to sign long term now that Travis Hamonic has been dealt to Calgary.

Gibson now becomes the team's third-string goalie with J.F. Berube in Las Vegas. The Finnish goalie was 6-0-0 in seven starts for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers before suffering a lower-body injury in November, causing him to miss the remainder of the season.

Now that Gibson is healthy, the Islanders did not make a qualifying offer to goalie Stephon Williams, who struggled last season for Bridgeport. Defensemen Jesse Graham, Loic Leduc and Matt Finn also did not receive qualifying offers, making the four unrestricted free agents on Saturday.

The Islanders mini camp is now underway at the Northwell Ice Center. The mini camp also features the team's annual Blue and White Scrimmage, being played on Thursday night.

Here is the mini camp roster

Ludvig Hoff and Hugh McGing are among the participants.
