Coyotes Start Rookie Goalie, Lose to Better Team

The Coyotes have gotten some bad luck to start the year. An Injured goalie, counted on prospects not being ready to meet expectations and at a bunch of losses that could have easily gone their way.

But last night was not one of them. The Stars came out flying and the Coyotes had no answer. The only thing that could have won them last night's game was stellar goaltending - which they got, and it wasn't enough.

While you could definitely pin the 0-5 start about 89% on Louis Domingue and Annti Raanta, last night's NHL debut for Adin Hill.

Hill was the Coyotes best player, stopping 94% of the shots, but it wasn't enough. Hill shouldn't get anyone too excited however, he was not an option they used because they wanted to and even though he played two good AHL games this year so far, his career AHL numbers are brutal.

What else is there to say?

The Coyotes lost 2-1 and they could have lost 5-1 had it not been for Hill. It sucks that goaltending has been the issue so far this year, and when they finally get a good does of it, they get badly outplayed.

In other news Perlini could play Thursday, but he's barely an NHL player at this point, usually getting crushed in possession and constantly hemmed in his own zone. The Coyotes need to find a way to deploy him so that he can be effective. He doesn't have a 200 ft game and he likely never will.......but that shot!

Also, no one knows when Anntii Raanta will be back. The season is quickly spiraling out of control, so hopefully its soon.
