Coyotes Cut Seven, Win Pre Season Debut

Man, I do not care what anyone says, the Pre-Season is the best!

The Coyotes got off to a positive start with a 5-1 win over the Ducks. While the score doesn't matter, it was encouraging to learn that both Christian Fischer and Clayton Keller scored two goals each.

Christian Fishcer will be an interesting player to watch in camp. If he makes the team, he is yet another offensively talented recent draft pick the Coyotes will be looking to develop. The team already has Domi, Duclair, Dvorak, Strome, Keller, Perlini and Crouse. And there is not reason to think Fischer can't also crack the team.

That is what makes this team so exciting this year. After building this group of player for what seems like years, the Coyotes will finally let them loose. Even last year, when the Coyotes were all but out of it in October, Tippett was slow to give the reigns to more than one or two kids at a time.

Tocchet promises to play an up tempo, highly aggressive system similar to the Penguins, and while this might lead to a lot of high scoring losses, the Coyotes have the forwards to drive teams nuts with their ability to ice third and fourth lines that feature speed, talent and offensive skill.

I am slow with the news, but the Coyotes did cut seven players the other day. Rest assured, you've never heard of any of them. If you look it up and it turns out you have, you need to get a girlfriend.

The Coyotes next game is tomorrow against the Flames in Calgary (or maybe China?) and then they return home to play on Friday, and hopefully there will be ice in the arena to play on!

The first real game is two weeks from tonight against the Might Ducks of Anaheim and the fabled coach Bombay.

Good times !
