* Carolina is not Moving - The hope is the current ownership rebounds fine, but there is a backup plan in place there. A very solid local person who owns a prominent local business who would buy the team and keep them in Raleigh. As a source said, "There has never been any thought or discussion to moving the Canes."
* Carolina's lease makes it impossible to move the team. It would be like paying three times as much for them.
*Vegas is happening - As one source said, "Were it not to happen now, it would be like telling a kid you were cancelling Christmas." Another, "You can't put $500 Million in front of these guys and take it away."
*Rumors of Dale Tallon possibly going to a new Vegas team seem very premature.
*Former Flyer Murray Craven is a big part of this Vegas team. He is near the top.
*Quebec is not happening as of now...and there are actually still issues involving the Montreal Canadiens to deal with.
*The Wild have also hired Scott Stevens as an assistant coach to Bruce Boudreau's staff.
