Regarding this morning's rumor. There is not one, but two teams affected by what could go down in Nashville. The Bruins are one of those teams, and if this all plays out as I have heard it may, we will have something to talk about for some time. The Preds news is not completely clear yet, but may not involve any current players on their roster.
I will keep a close eye to this tonight and report back with anything that changes.
On Lee Stempniak....
I am hearing Stempniak is a good bet to return for one year to Phoenix...which if the offers aren't in the 3 range, may be a great idea for him...This being said, don't count the Sabres or Islanders out quite yet as well...In fact, one source is adamant regarding the Sabres and Stempniak, and this particular source is in the Western Conference.
On the Leafs and Ducks...
I continue to hear the crazy talk about a trade which could bring Bobby Ryan to Toronto. It has grown from being a "shot in the dark" to having some "minor steam" behind it. There are some people who really see this as something more than I do...for now.
The Flyers and Kings talking again?
I am hearing an interest in Dan Carcillo from the Kings. I do believe this could be connected to the rumor I keep hearing of the Flyers continued interest in Niemi, but as a source told me "They will consider it, although they felt they were set a month ago. But first they would have to move a player or two."
On Kovalchuk...
Maybe tomorrow.....I know, but hey that's what I was told...
