Been a crazy 18 hours.

Here is the latest, short version.

Many teams are in on Bobby Ryan, as is to be expected. It is almost unheard of that a young player at this talent level is believed to be available. This is simply a money issue in Anaheim, not a case of Anaheim "giving up on Ryan" a source confirms.

The Leafs, Sabres, Bruins, Canes, Hawks, Blues, Flames and Islanders are all involved. That's what I have heard so far. So not involved, and of course this can change in a moment's notice: Philly, Pitt, Columbus, Montreal, Tampa, Dallas.

There are plenty of teams I have yet to speak to. And some teams I can't yet comment on based on the source's request.

Now for some opinion... Should the Ducks be moving Bobby Ryan? Absolutely not. I rarely comment so definitively on a player, but in this case I truly feel this is a move of potential disastrous proportions. When Money is the issue the answer shouldn't be to move out your youngest and brightest star...

Meanwhile... There are huge rumors also swirling currently that Alex Semin will be moved soon as well... The team to look to has been Detroit....however I am now hearing the Jets may be the destination. The Caps like the depth on the Jets blueline.

Also... We may soon see a home for Bryan McCabe in the NHL. More on that later on...

Also... The Leafs and Hawks are discussing a defenseman to Chicago.

Also... Could Nashville get in on Semin or Ryan? My sources say there is a very good chance on Ryan. The Preds have the depth and the salaries the Ducks are looking for here.
