On Ehrhoff...

The Islanders have traded Christian Ehrhoff's Rights to the NYI.

On Stamkos...

The official media game is on. "Don't even think about an offer sheet! We will match." This message is coming out in one way or another today.

Meanwhile, Howard Eskin on 610WIP, Philly's Sports Radio, is saying the Flyers will definitely be putting together an offer sheet for Stamkos.

Everywhere on twitter people are speculating and starting to wonder if nothing is going to happen, why hasn't anything happened yet in terms of Tampa Signing Stamkos.

John Buccigross on Twitter.."The Steve Stamkos Chronicles, Vol 1. It IS strange he hasn't signed. Contracts for elite players easy. Ten years 9 mill cap, done....Is TB overthinking this? "Do we go for discount?" Doubt if Don Meehan does that. "Do we go for 3 or 4 for one mother lode trade?" Risky....If Tampa just steps up & offers Stamkos long term market value he signs there. But $omething is up even if it$ a $illy game of chicken...TB would match any long term deal. #1 draft picks from Flyers will be in 20's. Match, Trade him after season at worst case. Better return..Price higher than last summer the way the market is & with Philly, NY, and Toronto sitting there like hungry sportwriters at a free buffet..What if Flyers/Tor offer one year, max deal? And forces TB to match that number until Stamkos is a free agent in four years? Then what?..."

The Lightning have been almost cavalier about the situation. Signing Brewer to a $4M Cap hit without even blinking, and signing other players like MA Bergeron today.

If I were the Lightning I would be more focused on your star player...

by the way...darkhorses for Stamkos...Buffalo, and look out for Colorado.

On Jagr...

The Penguins are getting frustrated and really want to get this deal done. Jagr's camp is being very "sketchy" according to some...leading me to ask again..."Is Montreal his choice, and is everyone else being used for the money?"

Speaking of the Leafs...

I am still shocked the Blues failed to match Matt D'Agostini. The Leafs have a "genuine interest" in D'agostini. I really like the kid.

Talbot to the Leafs?

As reported a while back, the Leafs are closing in on the Negotiating rights for Talbot

As for the Habs..

They have a one year deal on the table for Roman Hamrlik...Word is Roman will decide whether or not to take the contract tonight.

Richards a two horse race?

Last year the Kovalchuk sweeps was all about LA and NJ....and in the end it stayed about LA and NJ. The Richards race has been about Toronto and the NY Rangers since way before the season even ended...My instincts are it is staying that way, and may not be decided on July 1...similar to what we saw with Kovalchuk.

James Wisniewski and the Wild (e3)

There will be a Season Ticket Holder Q & A at 11PM tonight...
