There are definite rumors out there among some VERY well-connected people that one team is working "diligently" on an offer sheet for Doughty. It will be interesting to see how this plays out here. This can, in general, also force the players current team to the table, so it is entirely possible that even rumors of an offer sheet help facilitate a deal.
