Yesterday, Larry Brooks put out a rumor which is gaining steam today...
"Everyone knows the Rangers had a heavy contingent scouting the Senators-Canadiens on Monday," Brooks wrote. "They could be doing their due diligence on forward Alex Galchenyuk and they are also known to like forward Andrew Shaw."
Montreal and the Rangers have most definitely had discussions at the highest level....I keep hearing talks of a MAJOR swap that would include Pacioretty...his name is on the Rangers radar...Montreal loves Brady Skjei.....
All in all, it is the first of November and all is not well around the NHL.
You have teams like Montreal, the NY Rangers, the Oilers and even Arizona and Buffalo, all performing far below expectations....all these teams looking to make a major play.
Four teams below expectations is a lot this early, but you also are seeing a whole slew of teams at or around NHL .500.
This list includes some team who were considered powerhouses going into the 2017-18 Campaign: Chicago, Washington, Edmonton, Minnesota, Boston....this is a group of teams we know are not shy to pull the trigger on a deal...
