Broadcast I was watching the Canadiens game on- think it was Sportsnet-, made reference to the boatload of Rangers brass watching the game and they specaulated that it was re: Galchenyuk.

I really, really really hope we don'T trade Galchenyuk or Pacioretty to the Rangers... I don't see how we can end up winning a trade there without going to dreamland and hoping Zibanejad or Mcdonagh goes the other way.
They can have Shaw... no problem there. |

I know, but based on Mtl needs , they lack some serviceable defensman , I think Skjei can complement Weber giving Mete some time on the second pairing.
And NY needs the scoring , I doubt they fork over the face of the franchise in McDonagh. |

McDonagh is 5 years older and will be looking for a monster contract in 2 years. I would let him go way before Skjei. |

In no way shape or form should the Rangers let go of Skjei to Montreal unless it is Drouin! No other player on Montreal is worth it! No player on Montreal is worth Kreider either! If the Rangers are going to part ways with Kreider, Zucc or Skjei they might as well spend that on Duchene!!! |

Eklund: Desperate Times Call For..... (Who is getting uneasy...) Buzz@1 - Eklund
Yesterday New York Post reporter Larry Brooks dropped a huge bombshell on the NHL by reporting that the New York Rangers have interest in Montreal Canadiens forwards Alex Galchenyuk and Andrew Shaw. Multiple sources have confirmed that Rangers GM Jeff Gorton and Habs GM Marc Bergevin have had discussions about a potential swap, but only now are all the details coming out.
Anonymous hockey blogger Eklund released a report this morning that sheds light on two more names who could be involved in the negotiations. Check it out:
Montreal and the Rangers have most definitely had discussions at the highest level....I keep hearing talks a MAJOR swap that would include Pacioretty name is on the Rangers radar...Montreal loves Brady Skjei.....
Firstly, any rumor from Eklund has to be taken with a grain of salt the size of his ego, so take it for what it’s worth. Secondly, considering that other names like Chris Kreider and Mats Zuccarello have also been tossed around, it makes sense that a player like Max Pacioretty might be part of the discussion, as well.
Regardless of whether or not any of these players are moved, it’s clear that both teams need to make a change. The Rangers and Habs were both pre-season favorites to be Stanley Cup contenders this season, but with 4-7-2 (Rangers) and 4-7-1 (Canadiens) records to start the season, something’s got to give. |

You're nuts, Galchenyuk is 3 years younger and so far has had similar stats to Kreider. He could be Seguin 2.0 in the making, will be our loss but that's what we get with bad management. |

fingers crossed its a Staal trade to MTL... |

I dont see Kreider going to MTL. I think Price would veto that trade every day. Zucc may be the piece going back. Zucc plus a pick or prospect. Rangers should not be trading Skjei right now. |

If Bergevin trades Galchenyuk for Zucc and a pick......he should be fired. But he'll probably be fired soon anyway though. |

Not at all Kreider is underachieving however I would still rather keep Kreider over Galchenyuk but Galchenyuk isn't even close to what Skjei is worth!!! Montreal doesn't have a player that is worth Skjei except for Drouin!!!! |

Feel free to keep him!!! I would take Kreider over him and twice on Sunday. That is all we need a drug bug on our team!!!! |
