Darryl Sutter Hiring Imminent |

Updating today's earlier blog, it appears as though John Stevens' interim stint as LA Kings head coach will be VERY interim. Various sources around the Kings indicate that Darryl Sutter (for whom, as I noted earlier, the Kings had gotten permission to interview) is about to get the job.
Sutter is a good coach; demanding and tough but fair. This looks like a tough break for John Stevens, who really deserves another chance as an NHL head coach. I believe Stevens' winning percentage as an NHL coach is higher than Sutter's. Even so, the move is understandable with the Kings in win-now mode.
