Start here today...

There is a ton of momentum starting to build towards the deadline, and today has been extremely quiet for a Monday...which sometimes means we may be looking at less proposals being passed and more decisions being made.

Arizona is a team to watch this week. I am told they would like to get some business decided sooner than later and they aren't only short term sellers, but could very much be long-term buyers... and one such rumor supports that:

Kessel on Arizona's Radar

The common belief is always that the market for a Phil Kessel type player is at the draft, and not now. The feeling is that teams have more space to play with and more commodity to deal with. This is true for most teams, but for certain teams who are out of the running this year and who will soon have plenty of Cap Space there is a window here where they can jump on the fact many teams have to wait.

I keep hearing Arizona is looking to make a major move as a "Buyer for the future, not this season."

I don't expect this deal to happen before the draft, but I am hearing the Jets are aiming very high on this...a #1 pick, a current roster player, and a blue-chip prospect.
