Committed to Greatness

Bruce Boudreau along with assistants Scott Stevens and John Anderson, bring a renewed enthusiasm to the Minnesota Wild. The highest profile part of the team is behind the bench and for the first time since Jacques Lemaire was here, there is a feeling that the Wild have a coach that brings respect. Nothing against Todd Richards or Mike Yeo, but they were hired as first time NHL head coaches and expected to bring the Wild to greatness as they carved their own footprint on the coaching ranks.

That method worked with very limited success as we all have witnessed. But now comes the experience of Boudreau with a track record of 8 division titles in 9 years behind an NHL bench. Scott Stevens brings his Hall of Fame pedigree to a defense corps that is on the verge of being one of the leagues best. John Anderson brings an offensive mind along with NHL head coaching experience. Together this is a unit that will work together to bring out the very best in each and every player. They are committed to winning and they know the task at hand is to be a Stanley Cup contender now.

Training camp is the first taste that players have of the new regime, and by all accounts it is vastly different from those of the past. Jobs are on the line, the time to step up is now while the slate is still clean.

Minnesota is the State of Hockey. A winning NHL team is all that is missing here.
